IN ARSENE WE TRUST!!
He subbed walcott with Walcott during halftime.
Haha yeah I guess you could say so.

Credit to Wenger for making no subs and credit to Twitchyface for making two crappy subs as well. VDV's contribution was taking three corners and Sandro's was showing off that gum shield!

Let's not get over - excited with the difference being 4 next week. Obviously we all hope so.
We play Liverpool away next week, they've got Man Utd at home. I don't know which of the two is tougher but they're both games that could go either way.

Dan McCarthy is an Arsenal fan just like the rest of us, your emotions should be directed at Spurs fans.

Re: Arsenal v spuds post match
Wonderful stuff. I think Benayoun had a good game too - held onto the ball really well. Nevertheless, first half was a bit worrying, Song really hasn't been protecting the back 4 recently in a way we've come to expect from him.
Theo really put in a Jekyll and Hyde game. He was pretty awful first half - no composure, wasteful. Second half - suddenly the composure is back, as is his finishing. Could easily have had a hattrick. We only see glimpses of this, but if Walcott could bring that level of composure out on a regular basis, he could become a world beater.
But yes, highlight of the season. Having just lost our last realistic trophy chance, the side needed something like this, for the fans. What a result.

Wenger: "Rosicky has a back problem, and Vermaelen has an ankle problem."
The Liverpool game may not bode well for us if they fail to recover.

Walcott has gotten my hopes up that today will provide the impetus for his form an confidence to return and he will destroy the Italians.

Nobody has credited yossi benayoun. I must say for a guy who hasnt played in lot of games, he was very good for us the whole game. He was threatening.
Rosicky and RVP MVP's of the game.

Very good team effort, we pressed them, didnt sit back. Song & Arteta were brilliant. I am so happy we finally started playing more direct, with more pace.
I was a little shocked with the team selection but Wenger knows best. Very happy with the victory...wooo hooooooooooooooooooooooo

Spurs could have scored at many other points- our defending was pretty bad- but their first goal was a bad deflection and their second was a slightly questionable penalty.Stephen Mitchell wrote:Wonderful stuff. Glad to see Wenger changing his tactics and starting Yossi for whatever reason, instead of the expected Gervinho.
Not quite sure why he chose now to do it ,but it paid off over 90 mins. You can see the idea of Gervinho and AOC coming off the bench in the 2nd half if need be, when the Spurs were tired . Good on him.
When we got going our midfield was so much more vibrant with Rosicky then it has been with Ramsey lately.

Re: Arsenal v spuds post match
I agree completely. Our pressing, and the energy to do it, was similiar to 5-3 Chelsea. Too bad we don't seem to feel the urgency to do that every single game against the Swanseas, etc, not just in a hypercharged NLD atmosphere.fkamil wrote:Very good team effort, we pressed them, didnt sit back. Not really a knock at Wenger, but if he could find the proper manner to motivate them so that the whole squad played with that intensity EVERY match , I wouldn't feel so pessimistic at times.
