Official?
Now we're missing out on the better players from Ligue 1 too :p

Evidently not, just a rumour. Ralph can't believe it because it hasn't happened yet. When will people learn to ignore the media until something is officially confirmed? J***s H. C****t.

Liverpool just seemed to have joined the race for 4th.
Not good.

The more the merrier. We've just got to avoid being too mediocre, finishing fourth we always look fairly flawed so there's nothing new there this season, maybe just a bit too flawed.
BBC are claiming that Newcastle have had a bid accepted for Yanga-Mbiwa.
Given his versatility, especially ability as a clever mobile defender to also play the holding role, it's a shame that we weren't interested in him. But since the great DM exodus of 2008, we've been waiting for Diaby / faffing around with Denilson and to a lesser extent Song.

Re: January transfers
The transfer window is complete!
We have been linked with a loan move for Yoann Gourcuff
I say we should sign him up this. Our football might not improve drastically but maybe we would be able to "out-goodlook" any other team on the planet with him, Giroud and Arteta in the starting XI?

Re: January transfers
My new wish-list for this transfer window. Steal Yanga-M'biwa from under Newcastle's noses and loan deals for David Villa (apparently interest renewed) and Gourcuff.

In my opinion...the stealing M'biwa from under Newcastles nose is rubbish...cannot see villa happening...and linked with gourcuff is getting boring now....

Alot of people tweeting about Victor Wanyama too. I would honestly be surprised if we signed anyone worthwhile.
I will continue to support the club ofcourse, but with zero expectations.

Re: January transfers
Credit to Wenger - he will be feeding us his usual bullshit about why we didn't sign anyone in the transfer window.
We all know what he's going to say.
I PRAY TO GOD HE PROVES ME WRONG

I can read it now....
"I felt we have enough strength and unity to take us where we need to be...I belive this squad shows me enough in training every day for me to belive this....I did not sign anyone because we could not find the right player at the right price...yada..yada...yada"
Bottom line I don't think we will sign anyone..letting a bargain of what will be zaha go to united has said it all for me..
I think we can forget the mega bucks signings, prepare to finish 5th(just) and well be generally over charged and under changed..not win anything again...and repeat process next season...

Can't blame the player. Have Arsenal even approached Crystal Palace?

Re: January transfers
Personally, I don't care much about Zaha anyway. I don't care if he'll come good in 2 years time. We want someone to come and perform now. You can tell me that this kid is so good the Fergie is throwing mega bucks at him, well Fergie can, we can't. He has Rooney, Robin, Danny, and Uglyfacemexican up front. He wouldn't mind looking for the future.

So if you knew that we are not signing top top players...then why not sign for the next year or so...its a lose lose situation if we don't sign top players nor future stars.......
We have the money...everyone knows we have the money...the thing is somewhere along the line its being held back...

Re: January transfers
this is all i can find today on transfer talk of arsenal...
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering whether to take France international Yoann Gourcuff on loan.
Arsenal have declared their intent to strengthen their midfield, by submitting a £4m bid for Florian Thauvin.
Arsenal have been boosted in their attempts to land David Villa after the striker intimated to Barcelona chiefs that he wants to leave.

Re: January transfers
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists he was never interested in signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
Manchester United admit they are pursuing the 20-year-old, with some reports suggesting that the Barclays Premier League leaders are close to agreeing a £15million deal for the England international. Arsenal were also reported to be interested in Zaha, but the Gunners boss insisted that was never the case.
"We were never in for Zaha," Wenger told a press conference on Tuesday morning. "I don't know if he will go to Man United. If he goes to Man United, good luck to him."
