We'll probably let Arsha go in the summer and get Matias Suarez in his place. Chamakh will stay. He is the focal point of our bench, we couldn't possibly do without him.

Regarding Matias Suarez, Arseblog news says that ''The rumour is serious enough to have been picked up by major national newspapers in Belgium.''

Reckon this could be one for this month, rather than the summer? I'd be lying if I said that I've ever seen him play, but we can't go on with the current situation where Walcott and Gervinho have no competition whatsoever.

Matias Suarez has scored 7 goals in 6 Europa League games, hitting the target with 13 out of his 16 shots. He also has two assists. - Orbinho

This is quite a good (and long) video of Suarez for those that are interested:

He really does look good.. Young bloke. I'd take him as long as we don't get held to ransom for him.

I don't really care who we get, and I don't think they need to be a phenomenal player although that would obviously be great. I just want us to bring in one more player who can share the burden a bit. A striker who can score 20-30 goals/season in all competitions would be fine for me. If Suarez is that, then great.

Apparently 2 clubs are currently scouting Suarez. The number could very well increase by summer given how the other prem teams(especially Liverpool and Spurs) love to lay their grubby paws on our targets.

I still don't get why Valencia got shot down so badly. He would provide us good depth and the ability to rotate considering the only proper wingers we have who are half decent and proven are Theo and Gervinho.

United wouldn't sell him anyway, Ferguson likes him because he's versatile. He's been playing full back for them a lot this season. As a squad player, I genuinely think the Kieran Richardson rumours are promising. He wouldn't get in the side if everyone was fit, but as cover at full back and an alternative out wide, we could do worse.

Just read that demba ba has a release fee of ten million... Strongly suggest that we at the very least put in offer.

Yeah, the Demba Ba rumour (if true) would seem sensible seeing as we are certainly short a centre forward. However, would he leave this soon after joining Newcastle, especially as he has firmly cemented his places as their first choice centre forward... Also, seeing as there are the lingering doubts about his fitness, do you think Wenger would risk that much money on him?

Ba would certainly have the advantages of:

a) having played in the premier league before
b) being in the form of his life
c) being eligible for the Champions League

Still, can't really see this happening.

What exactly is a release fee? Does it mean that if a club offers 10mil or more then Newcastle have to allow him to leave?

Because if not, there is no way in hell they're going to let him go so cheap.

Newcastle won't sell for cheap. Remember the time they sold that tall lamp post to Liverpool? I hear he was well over 30mil.
