It has come to this.

I now have to say that if Wenger / "the board" don't see the need or lack the ability to sign the players we need in this transfer window, we shouldn't be complaining if we do not finish in the top 4 this season and Wenger does not deserve to be in charge next season.

Really sad to hear Frimpong leave. He could or couldn't have been a useful player for us, who knows? But what's sad is that he couldn't even get his chance because of his injuries. At least we knew he'd give his all for us.

Is 'fanatix' reliable anyway? It would be so unlike Wenger to sell him. I still think he meant that he is being loaned by his tweet and not sold. He is 21 though and doesn't look good enough.

Ok so it is confirmed, frimpong to fulham on loan. I think it is a pretty good move for him although he may not get the game time he would have got if he went to a lesser side, but that shows that he is developing no? From charlton to fulham..

I don't see him going anywhere soon. He's just not experienced enough to play consistently for us, although I'd personally have given him a shot against Brighton. Oh well, the fact that he's going to Fulham is very promising. I hope one day he'll play alongside Wilshere.

Ah relieved its only a loan, if he can put a run of games together like he began to at Wolves then it could be really good for him!!

A few forgetting the Wolves spell prior to second ACL injury. Some Wolves fans were saying at the time that he was their best player and their best chance of avoiding relegation. So Charlton, to Wolves, to Fulham.

Agree with many, I hope he can forge a career at Arsenal, unlike Larsson, Senderos, Bendtner, Merida and many others before him.

Yeah I didn't forget the Wolves spell but didn't want to mention it because it was prior to the Charlton spell :p. So from Wolves to charlton (lesser level), to fulham.

Two more French players it is for Newcastle. Don't understand Pardew's insistence with signings from Ligue 1.

This is the same cunt who was critisizing us for having few brittish players in our team back in 06 after we beat madrid... Now his team is virtually all french with little britrish in sight. Heard they signed debuchy though, rate him from the euro's, don't know how he's done since then but that's some good business, few other decent ligue 1 players they've signed too.

He's signed Debuchy, Yanga-Mbiwa, Gouffran, Sissoko, and a player from Nancy I don't know much about. All pretty decent players, Yanga-Mbiwa the only one I'd like to see play for us though. I'm amazed as to how he's managed to convince them to join a team that's currently sixteenth in the league.

As for Pardew's thoughts on our "non-British" team, let's take a look at his current starting lineup (or at least my guess as to what it currently is):

---------------------KRUL------------------------
DEBUCHY---COLOCCINI---YANGA-MBIWA---SANTON
----------TIOTE-------------SISSOKO-------------
-------------------CABAYE------------------------
BEN ARFA-----------CISSE--------------GUTIERREZ

With, say, a bench of: Harper/Elliot (Don't know who their backup GK is), Simpson, S. Taylor, Gouffran, Bigirimana, Marveaux, Obertan, and Ameobi.

In short, hypocrisy has remained at Newcastle despite Joey Barton's departure.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out the prospect of securing David Villa before the transfer deadline because "Barcelona don't want to sell".

The Gunners boss has been linked with a move for Villa, who has scored 53 goals in 85 games for Spain.

"If somebody is not for sale you expect other clubs not to try and buy him," said Wenger.

"Barcelona don't want to sell David Villa and have made it clear."

Wenger says Theo Walcott's decision to commit to the club means he is not "desperate to buy" before the window closes on Thursday.

But he will add to this squad if it will help strengthen Arsenal's chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

"We have enough in terms of numbers. We have plenty of quality strikers," he added.

"Theo's deal sends out two messages. The first is that we want to keep our best players and are able to do that.

"The second is that attacking wise we are not in a position where we are desperate to buy because Theo can play through the middle and down the flanks.

"What is important is that you bring in players who can strengthen your team. Or you stay strong enough and do nothing."

This whole thing makes me laugh......

meh, Wenger can at times make himself sound like a joker during his press conferences. However I think we'll still make the top 4 spot. But some additions would make that top 4 place more easy than depending on luck(teams around us to falter)

Even if we can't manage the 4th spot, Wenger will still come up with something like "missing out in the Champions League on the odd occasion can be good for the team as it gives players more rest" or something like that.

I don't know what Wenger's thinking right now. If he honestly thinks this team is good enough to secure top 4/win a cup this year, then surely we still have a lot more to see from this team. Or else he's been smoking some good shit.hehe
