Coquelin signs new contract, very good news, he's been good when asked to fill in this season. Looking forward to him growing and becoming a "beast"

Excellent. Really happy to see a young player able to cut it, Versatile and always reliable, I think he will only get better if he stayed away from injuries.

Re: Player Contracts
Definately good news may well become a really important player in the squad. As you've said his versatility is important and he adds depth to our midfield options. We always said we needed a defensive mid for years and thats still true, a top top player would always fit into the squad but at least Song has two potentially able backups now if he gets injured, and Yennaris looks promising as well.

Good. We can get some money from his transfer out then.

Good news for Coquelin. I really like him, and it's good to see we're not making the mistake we made with Flamini again.

Re: Player Contracts
Can anybody see Theo leaving this summer? If I remember correctly he's in the same situation as RvP and can leverage a bigger contract/a move elsewhere.
He can be incredibly frustrating and this year he hasn't been at his best (though he has managed to stay fit for an extended period of time, which is promising). The fans as a whole have been patient with him (bar the odd few who love heckling him in the Emirates and other random haters) and I still think he could have a lot to offer going forward.
Isn't he a childhood Liverpool fan? They'd probably put in a massive offer were he to become available...

More importantly not many teams who would be a 'step up' for Theo want him. Unlike RVP who everyone would bite both arms off to sign

This, exactly. He will sign again with us, and will eventually have to raise his game further because the Ox is gonna edge him out eventually!

That is, of course, utter nonsense. Juve have been interested for an age; Chelsea have shown interested; there has even been talk of Barcelona. Let's not kid ourselves that we are the best Theo could do. He is an incredibly rare commodity.

I'll be interested to see how many of those clubs actually want him and how much is just paper talk. I would be quite surprised to see Theo leave in the summer

Re: Player Contracts
Oh, I'll think he'll stay. But I also think people are deluding themselves if they think he couldn't sign a massive contract somewhere more successful that Arsenal if he was minded to do so.
Re: Player Contracts
He could move for more money, but Im not sure there are that many clubs at the moment who would be a 'step up' footballing wise for Theo

I am quite sure he'd make it at a big team in Italy or Germany but I can't see any interest in him stemming from on of the Spanish giants or any English teams that are better than us. And with Theo being English and all I don't think he'd be interested in leaving us for either Italy or Germany.

Rosicky likely to sign new contract in mid-February.

Good news, important squad player imo. I doubt he will ever become an automatic first choice for any sustained period again but he has experience and a desire to fight for the team which some players appear to lack.

Re: Player Contracts
I did hear this of Thomas...to be honest he has been playing well with a decent bit of game time...if he keeps this up that alone could be worth an extra year or two...
Good luck to him I say...

Re: Player Contracts
WE have to be careful with who we sign now. In that we have to plan for next year. No signing ineffective players to long (ish) contracts. I like how Rosicky has played this season, but I do wonder if he is ever going to score for us again (then again I worry about that with everyone who isnt RVP). If we keep Rosicky, no way we should sign Benayoun and also should mean we need to try and offload Diaby
