PFA Player of the Year
While it might be a bit early, I think the players start putting their votes in around about now. Which players do you think are up for it? Last season it was hard to find any stand out performances, but this season there are many. Also, this year is more dominated by strikers than most, with many performing well. Here goes for a start of a list:
Strikers
RVP
Aguero
Ba
Rooney
Midfielders
Silva
Bale
Mata
Defenders
Kompany
Koscielny

There have been some very good stand out performers this season thus far but its pretty obvious who has been most outstanding and who SHOULD win it this year.

Re: PFA Player of the Year
I think RVP should win from what we've seen so far. But as for the team, I think there's been quite a few players who are deserving of a spot.
Joe Hart for goalkeeper. Tim Krul as runner up.
Full back positions are always the trickiest. At RB, I'm looking at Micah Richards. Kyle Walker has also done well.
LB is a bit hard. The usual suspects (Evra, Cole, Traore) have not been consistently great. Man City rotate theirs and neither are brilliant. Baines? I haven't seen much of him this season. Neil Taylor of Swansea has had a few plaudits this season, I won't pretend to know that I've seen much of him, either. I think someone like Ekotto or Enrique might be in with a chance. Both been pretty consistent and play for big enough clubs to stand out. Not that I think they SHOULD be in the team, I just don't know who has been good enough consistently.
CB's - Kompany, Koscielny. I'm ok with that. But we've conceded too many goals for Koscielny to get the nod. He isn't really well known outside of the club, most neutral fans still think of him as the clutz from the beginning of last season and I wouldn't be surprised if other players think the same. Agger and Skrtel have been involved in the most Premiership clean sheets this season, so either of them would also be fine.
Lots of midfielders are in with a shout; Cabaye, Tiote, Parker, Modric, Bale, Silva, Yaya Toure, Mata. Then the likes of Dempsey, probably Giggs. I'm sure there's 1 or 2 more I've forgotten. I would go with:
Silva - Yaya - Parker - Bale
And then the 2 strikers:
RVP and Ba or Aguero.
Joe Hart for goalkeeper. Tim Krul as runner up.

I agree on everything except the Mata part. Ok he's very good and all but he has not been good enough to be considered in this list.

I think Suarez has been an excellent signing for Liverpool, apart from being a scumbag. But before posting I checked his stats, and not that impressive.

Re: PFA Player of the Year
RVP head an shoulders above anyone else for player of the year. Should get the writer's player of the year too
As for team:
Vorm
Richards Kompany ??? Ekotto
Yaya
Silva Bale
Ba RVP Aguero
Don't know about the 2nd CB, suppose will have to go to a Pool defender, although maybe one of the spuds ones will be in with a shout. Whilst there have been good midfielders this year, I think the strikers have shone so have gone with 3 up top

Only RVP.
Flops of the year?
De Gea, Torres, Chamakh, Bendtner, David Luiz, Carlos Tevez, John Terry, Andy Carroll.
Just to name a few...

As good as he has been this year, we have conceded far too many goals for him to be considered I think
