Most frustrating player?
Who is our most frustrating player?
I was thinking, considering we have so many potentially outstanding players and talents who aren't living up to expectations or up to their potential. Who is our most frustrating player of all??

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Walcott, Gervais, Arshavin and Ramsey. but arshavin takes the cake, the guy is outragously talented but couldn't give a shit most of the time. Been decent the past two games but a person can see he has IT, the pure natural ability for football, but he can't be ARSED.

Arshavin every time and I don't know how anyone could vote for anyone else at the moment. Should be a leader of our team but offers absolutely nothing.
Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Can't believe people vote for Walcott.
It is Arshavin all the time. Lazy, not interested in anything, not paying attention at all. Look at his pass to Ramsey for the 2nd Swansea goal.

I think that shows the expectations have for Theo over AA. AA has time and again shown he wont be at the club much longer, but Theo is still young and has so much to offer that people are disappointed when he isnt unlocking defences week in week out

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
^I also think that Theo's progress has stalled a bit.
Perhaps it's not fair to constantly compare Theo to Bale, but Bale's game has developed to where he is a threat from anywhere on the field. Still not "player of the year" material for me ,but his shooting is excellent, his pace is great, his control is excellent, passing great etcetc.
Rednapp has him playing more centrally lately because he has demonstrated he knows what to do- and has the skill to do it.
Theo? Not so much.

Theo is a confidence player. That goal will massive boost in confidence and he will play much better from now on.
I think sadly Arshavin frustrates me the most followed by Ramsey. Arshavin for not giving a sh*t and Ramsey for his indecision when dwelling on the ball.

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Of all the players on that list, Arshavin is the one who should be performing at a much much higher level.
As crap as they have been lately, Arshavin has been in a poor run of form for a much longer time, most of it not down to being unlucky, or having a bad day at the office, but because he swans around like he'd much rather be doing something else, and a bit pissed off that we ask him to run around a bit at the weekend for 80k a week.

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Why not take Arshavin off the list or rate them from 1-5
Walcott could be top of that list.
Djourou is my next.
Diaby and Gibbs complete it. Frustrated because of injuries mostly.

Except for his pass that won us the game at QPR, and the pass today that set up RVP's goal?

But that isnt enough for a player of his calibre. He should be offering more to this side than he does

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
ah, I completely forgot about diaby and chamakh, pity i can't add them to the poll now. but certainly diaby is frustrating for his weak tissues and often one good game in 5 and chamakh for his uselessness since the turn of the year...last year!

I think you can add an option, just call it 'other'

Yeah, fair enough. I just think we should go so overboard with the criticism of Arshavin and suggest that he offers "absolutely nothing". He clearly is still capable of those moments of class, as he's shown. We just need him to reach a point where they aren't the exception to the rule. I also think we're a bit harsh since Arshavin hasn't had a run of several games to play himself into form.

Naa I think you can only add 10 choices and I used the all 1st time, so since I can't remove I also can't add any other options.

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
I don't even think Arshavin's 'moments of class' have been anything like that for nearly a full year. So he's had two assists in his last two games? Well, we've lost them both and he's been anaemic and wasteful in both. It's not as if either assist was anything special. Assists and goals alone mean nothing without context.
Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Lost them both? He set up the winner against QPR. Ramsey set up Koscielny's goal at Fulham.
But, I digress. Arshavin was by no means the worst offender today in regards to wastefulness, and I actually think we've seen improvement in his play of late. Which, surprisingly, coincides with him playing more regularly again. I agree, a player of his class should bring more. But I certainly don't think he's a lost cause, and his influence is starting to improve, IMO.

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Lets face it when we signed him he was widely regarded as a top top class player who was going to destroy premiership defences, those 4 goals against Pool was seen at the time as a sign of intent, it was infact, an isolated offering.
Arshavin should have been our McManamen or our Ronaldo or our Robben given what we paid for him and the hype surrounding him, the single most frustrating thing about him is that we all recognise he can be amazing, but just isnt.
*sigh*

Isolated? Arshavin was great for the first 1 1/2 seasons he was at the club. His form after he immediately joined was pretty much the reason we made it into the Champions League that year.

Re: Who is our most frustrating player?
Brilliant 15 odd million pounds for 18 months close to what we know he can do, never reached his potential and hasnt done anything for the club for ages and clearly eats too many pizzas!!!, money not so well spent.

I really did think Arshavin would be a top 20 Ballon D'Or candidate when we signed him.
I was wrong.
I was wrong.
