Re: Summer transfer window 2013
Flamini is a really good signing for us I think.
He is disciplined and can play at the base of the midfield, we all wanted someone who could do that job, and we know he is a decent enough full back as well.
I've been really impressed with Sagna at Centre Back and personally, I would be ok with him playing there as fourth choice when you can cover right back with Jenkinson and now Flamini.
With the way things stand today, I really think i'd like to see someone who can play left side of the attack and also a striker come in.
As far as leaving, please god let Park and Bentdner leave - and I think the Flamini signing ends any hopes Frimpong has of breaking through now as well so would be good for him to leave permanently, I've no doubt he can have a career maybe similar to other midfielders who have left like Larson or Sidwell, if only for those two cruciates not happening.

i feel like the birthday boy whose parents promised him a magic show but didn't deliver because daddy was having a staring contest with his empty whisky bottle and mommy was busy watching her nails dry

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
at this stage we all know how the cards the stack, we have spent endless hours watching football segments and reading numerous articles and blogs. spurs have spent more than 90m so unless Mr Levy has been warming his bed with a rich sheikh, business logic says they should try to recover what they have invested. But this is football and logic plays a second fiddle in this cluster fuck of an orchestra. Spurs with Bale + additions would be powerhorse.
They seem to be run by a management with a with deep footballing passion, even with the record transfer fee they will loose money which runs with sharp contrast to us. I am not saying our management doesn't want to win matches but our track record shows that we try to balance our check books a bit more than necessary. As much as I would like to stone the management you don't smack the doctor because he prescribed you a shot. Deep inside we all want whats best for our club though we might have a different ideas how to achieve it.
If i was a conniving man, with the london derby coming I would hold the bale deal off as long as possible to unsettle the opposition. every advantage counts. honestly has the market run so dry that only madrid have their shops open.
so come monday, Micheal i hope we are all celebrating. Whisky is my preferred choice of drink but champagne taste sweeter.

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
Julian Draxler?
I think we would all prefer a central striker rather than general attacker, but I see many positives:
- he is fast and dynamic. kind of a more skilful Walcott. he looks quality
- he shoots from long range. compared to the tika taka of Cazorla and Wilshere, he will make defences push out and close him down. opening up space for others
- the beauty of having Giroud, is he combines well with the other attackers. just like benzema enables the likes of Ronaldo to dominate, Giroud can do the same for a player like Draxler to dominate
- if it has to be, then our central strikers can be Giroud, Podolski, Sanogo and Akpom. Not ideal, but ok if we have other great forwards.
- i wonder if like Thierry Henry, Wenger may turn him into a striker
Price will be somewhere between 40 and 60 million (pounds? euros? lira? don't know). But at least the fans will be happy that we bought someone nice, new, shiny and with a high price tag!

I heard rumours that he is available on a free. If so, grab him ASAP. Wenger could turn him back into a very very good player!

It's not really in a position where we need someone, and he may not get more game time at Arsenal compared to Real Madrid, but no harm in having him.

Everyone's (on twitter) saying we've signed Ozil. Fairthorne confirming Ozil, saying that we will break our record at least once, and that all Arsenal fans will be happy by tomorrow night.

Wasn't Ben Fairthorne the guy who also guaranteed, during last summer's transfer window, that Yann M'Vila would be an arsenal player?
(I may be mistaken there.... just seems alot of people with twitter accounts mistake their hopes + rumour for verified fact...)

Ozeil story is up on BBC. and Martin Kemp also tweeted his friends at the Emirates told him about the Ozeil having a medical. I'm starting to believe this is actually happening !

Still very quiet on the Arsenal front.
Livepool have gotten Sahko, Tiago Ilori and Victor Moses (loan)! Didn't see that coming..
Will be quite an even league this year.
