There's a rumour that we actually sealed Ozil a week ago but kept it a secret?

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
Guys seriously not happy with Bendtner as cover? Personally I am more than happy with that, get him playing again in the league cup and build him up to premier league level again. I've always liked Bendtner and I think he could be as good as Giroud for us.
Oh yes, small matter of Ozil to consider too, still in shock, love this guy. WHAT. A. SIGNING!

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
People have forgotten Bendnter's best moments for Arsenal.
I don't think he would ever make the grade with us. Showed sparks of great talent, but couldn't turn it into consistently.
He was unlucky with injury. Every time Van Persie would get injured, and Bendtner would get his chance, he would get injured. Bad timing. I didn't like it when he came back from injury and started agitating that he wasn't getting game time. Not Wenger's fault he was injured when he would have had a chance.
There is not much point investing in him and giving him playing time, as he is probably in the final year of his contract.
I would prefer Podolski, Sanogo or Akpom there. But handy to have around in case we need him.

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
I was a big fan of Bendtner when he first hit the scene but injuries, being played on the wing a lot and an arguably motivation problem made it difficult for him to progress. I still think he has a lot of talent when fully fit and motivated though so I don't mind him at all as a back-up incase we ever needed it. But I'm guessing Podolski, Sanogo and maybe Theo would all be used up top before Bendtner got a look in.

I used to stand up for him.
But his behaviour has been pretty poor. He has had several chances to get his career back on track, but has been unwilling to drop his wages.
Pretty bad move by him. Sure he'll keep his salary for another year, but what then when he wastes away on the bench? A move to Palace or similar was a good opportunity for him.

same here i used to back him to the high hills...
the thing is if he just shut up and got on with playing he would be a better player..in one way its arsenals fault for chcking hge money straight at him..but that's just the nature of the beast..

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
Bendtner never really looked good enough and he's clearly an idiot.
Even though he hasn't been loaned out yet, I think TGSTEL will still be at the bottom of the pecking order in AW's mind.
Why be disappointed with him? More money than sense, like most of the driftwood losers we've got rid of recently.

I don't understand at all why he wasn't piggy backed all the way to Palace, we don't need him as cover whatsoever.
