Re: Everton vs Arsenal
Everton have us on the ropes right now.
Just feels wrong even typing that.

Man don't even joke about that, cause it's ptobably gonna happen in 20 or so minutes. He will then procees to run it out of play countless times, or perhaps (fore)head it out of play, from 5 yards.

Re: Everton vs Arsenal
We also have the option of bringing on Arshavin and Chamakh (I think). Unfortunately we had to waste one of our substitutions when Koscielny went off injured.

Re: Everton vs Arsenal
Imo Everton should be a hard place to go to.
But, I agree that at present your comment is more about our inability to change anything. We're under fire without a clue how to change it. A sub wouldn't do any harm. Just imagine if we had Theo up front like he wishes? We'd have absolutely nothing to play with. Zilch.

Did all the Everton players decide to grow mustaches?

Credit to Ramsey. He does keep trying. A lesser man would have cracked by now, we have seen it in the past - Eboue', Santos, Arshavin, Reyes, Chamakh and even Song.

This Oviedo fellow looks like someone who could score against us - virtually anyone.

That was a penalty...is it me, or is Arteta not the best at 1-on-1 defending in the box?

Re: Everton vs Arsenal
I like Ramsey's spirit and enthusiasm generally. I think he should only play as one of the two holding players though. He's got decent defensive ability and does the basics well, but he doesn't seem to trust his passing ability further up-field so his hesitation costs us.
He's certainly not a joke player like Eboue and Santos, or a lazy bastard like Arshavin.

Poor tackle but we're overrun here. Wenger used to buy players for their physical prowess or high technical ability. Nowadays we buy too many players who are neither one nor the other.
In general Arteta struggles in 1-on-1s.

I was referring to the amount of criticism he is getting from fans recently.

So close, we need a minimum of possession in the oppositiion half to create a good opportunity for the big man.

Its a strange(sad) time for arsenal when you feel your only hope for a possible goal is from a corner

Well there's no point having an out-ball to Giroud if no-one is there to pick up the ball from the knock-down. We're dumb as well as shit. I'm only half joking there.
