Arsenal v Everton
Sun 6th Apr 13.30 Goodison Park
well well well..what do we have here...
a cracking game of 4th place up for grabs..yes our season has yet again come down to this..after so much potential its a slog out for 4th or better.
everton up for the next, lose this and they are a point behind with a game in hand...we all know what this means to us.....
team news...
Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Everton:
on Aaron Ramsey…
Aaron and Nacho Monreal are back training with the squad, so that is good news. Hopefully they will be available for Sunday. Diaby is back on the pitches, so that is good news.
on any others…
At the moment that is all because the other injured players are not back, not Wilshere, not Ozil. Everybody else is alright.
on Laurent Koscielny…
He is still out. The earliest [he will be back] is next week, the latest is the week after.
on Wilshere and Walcott…
They are alright, they are doing well. It is still early for them, of course for Theo the season is finished and Jack is progressing well.
on Mesut Ozil…
The FA Cup will be too soon for him, but he will hopefully be back soon after that.
hoping whatever the result is its a win....

COYG!!!
We are giving Osman too much room in the middle
to dictate play.
Sort that out!

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Really lackadaisical in the 27th minute. Crossing into the box with only Giroud in there no one else attacking and 4 Everton.1 vs 4? Baines walking with the ball and no one challenging him....

I think it's a real danger, Michael. We look psychologically destroyed. No jump, little creativity. I like what we showed in the second half vs City, but Chelsea did us in. Even in the NLD before that we looked shit in the second half, just hanging on.Michael Foster wrote:Anyone fancy us to go out of the cup?
Wigan will be chomping at the bit and IMO we look as fragile as we did after the loss to Birm in the CC final.
Hope we can get it together. We're not a very good team right now.

So much rests on the cup game...... It's got to be go there get it done... As fragile as we look if we don't win that and pos win the cup we could see webber out the door... In my opinion he only has himself to blame.... Maybe rambo could rescue some pride for us.... And that's one lad I feel sorry for the input he had in the start of our season to now what he has returned back to.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
I've argued with some people re: our horrible results this season (6-0 chelsea, 6-3 city, 5-1 pool) with different points, namely:
1. either Arsene is starting to lose the dressing room,
2. either we shit bricks while facing the big teams away from home, or
3. we have been damaged psychologically with each hammering in the above mentioned games.
but to be very honest, I come home and think: how much scared can you get that you don't turn up for the entire 90 minutes and concede in sixes and sevens? how much psychologically damaged can you be that you play like a relegation threatened team against the big teams (because the truth is, we've been pretty good for the other games this season)?
I absolutely have no clue what our actual problem is, but I get this uneasy feeling something is not right in the camp. We need to sort it out pretty quickly if we are to secure 4th spot and not embarrass ourselves further. And I hope whatever it is doesn't stop us from winning the FA Cup as well.

Finish in the top 4, win the FA Cup, then hand over Arsene the money needed to buy Benzema and Bender. We'll win the league next year !

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Our issues are injuries, squad depth and organization in away games. Our injuries are ridiculous and most teams would struggle with 5 of their staring 11 out, We have a lot of good players but only a couple of top drawer ones and the organization away from home has been awful how goals have we gifted other teams.
Top 4 is still on the cards as long as we win the rest of our games as I can't see Everton getting maximum points from the games they have left, The FA cup is ours to lose.
The board need to back Wenger in the Summer and He needs to buy a few world class players. At least 1 Striker maybe 2, a left winger and a DM
