Re: Arsenal v Everton
Kinda early innit. I'm going for a 2-0 cleansheet. We always do well vs everton.
Still remember that Eduardo goal. If only he didn't get injured :/

3 days to go as keen as could be...
true we have had some blinders against everton...smashed in some great scorelines too..
i am going for a 4-1 arsenal....
no new injury news to note...

Re: Arsenal v Everton
I'd expect us to win this, we will have had 9 days rest whereas Everton are just coming off a 1-1 draw with Sunderland today. Would be nice to have a straight forward win with a clean sheet and no injuries after all the comebacks we've had over the last few weeks.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
We should win this, but I definitely don't think it'll be a straightforward or easy game. Everton are a pretty decent side, especially at home. We usually do well against them, but that's the kind of thing that has to come to an end at one point...

I'm expecting a 2-0 victory. We are on a high, they just lost to Liverpool and played an extra game. Just like Steve said, a good victory with a clean shit (not necessarily easy) is what I want.

There's nothing quite like a clean shit.

Clean shits are never easy!
I see us drawing this. Everton at home are a tough proposition, and even though they've played 2 games in that time, they've rotated, and they're on a pretty good run of form. Played well today by all accounts as well.
1-1. They're tough to break down, we'll need some RVP magic if we're gonna get the 3 points.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Agreed, another tough game (although we seem to be thriving in them, of late).
Everton are a totally different proposition to the mediocre team they were before Christmas - since then, they've won home games against Spurs, Chelsea and Man City. That alone makes me think suggestions of an easy win for us are massively underestimating how solid a team they are at home.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
While a draw isn't a great result in terms of getting 3rd or 4th place, considering it's Everton away, it's no bad result. Didn't a single bit of magic from RVP secure our win at home against Everton? I do hope we can win, but I won't be disappointed with a draw.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Our defense is good enough to keep the Everton attackers at bay and we will most probably keep a clean sheet if we don't make any ill judged passes in our own half. On the other hand Everton's defense has looked very difficult to break in recent games and I think it'll require Walcott to be at his best if we're going to score.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
Heh, clean shit.
It's good for us that they drew in the cup. That's clearly their focus - as well it should be - so hopefully they have half an eye on the replay. It's by no means an easy fixture, but it is winnable and if we want to overhaul Spurs, it's the sort of place we need to get results in the run in.
Frankly, I feel like we could beat anyone at the moment. We need to keep that momentum going.

Chelsea do not have an easy path to the CL final. They are very much NOT favorites.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
The team picks itself for this game really, except a couple of positions where Wenger will have to make decisions, left back and left wing. I'm gonna go for Gibbs and Benayoun for this one. (Although for later I would like to see Santos as the regular LB).

What decision? It is a rule that has been in place for a while now

If Chelsea win the CL the team that finishes fourth won't qualify.
Re: Arsenal v Everton
That is such a huge IF, I'm amused that people are even worried about it.
How anyone can realistically see beyond a Real Madrid - Barcelona final is beyond me.
That being said, it would be hilarious if we finished third, ahead of Spurs, and then see Chelsea went on to win it.

Re: Arsenal v Everton
That said I laughed that the press were taking this seriously...
But as you said if we finished 3rd and there was some kind of almighty pull off chelsea won it....I would laugh....I mean really fucking laugh...
But I don't think I would be too chuffed seeing chelsea winning the CL...
