Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
Showed some nice touches, dribbles. He really does need some regular football whatever the division.
YouTube comments are the best:
Does he have potential to become better than Messi or CR7
Do you think he is better than Neymar?
Daniel96sj 7 hours ago
@Daniel96sj For the time being, not yet. But he has the potential to surpass Neymar right?

Just saw that a few minutes ago. Very nice to see our players in Arsenal shirts when they were kids.

Same. Nice to know when players of the club are actually fans.
I recently saw a photo of Mertesacker in an Arsenal shirt aged 11 but now I can't find it.

I saw that one on Facebook. It had a caption saying, guess who that is and someone had commented "Frimpong"

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
What a cute little kid!
Wellington looks to have tons of raw skill. If he can fulfill his potential and get the chances he needs to progress I don't see why he shouldn't be a success. That sort of creativity and flair is really exactly what we need in the team right now, too bad he's not ready.

Nico Yennaris only got uglier as he got older. That's too bad, he looks a decent player.

Haha! Clearly!
On Yennaris I know everyone has made a big deal about Chamberlain but I would also say that Yennaris could start in the next game and see how he does, he looked alright on sunday and Djourou is very very poor there, clearly only picked as he is a senior player, which counts for nothing when your abysmal!

Sanchez Watt joins League Two Crawley Town until the end of the season. A drop down divisions, but #AFC get big loan fee.

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
So here's a question: who becomes our second choice RB now, Yennaris or Jenkinson? If I were Yennaris I would consider switching to RB full time, the path to the first team is a lot less crowded than in midfield.
Sagna is in his prime but is no spring chicken, unlike Song, Coquelin, Frimpong, Ramsey, Wilshere, Diaby.... whereas at RB behind Sagna there is only Jenkinson and then Djourou.

Sounds like he is already thinking about it. Don't know much about him and way to early to judge him off the back of a half of football. Mario probably knows more about him following the youths and, you know, the Cypriot thing

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
Ryo has hailed his “priceless” opportunity to train with Thierry Henry.
Henry has been back at London Colney since the middle of November and signed a short-term loan deal from New York Red Bulls two weeks ago.
The record goalscorer was a childhood favourite of Ryo and the Japanese youngster is delighted to be playing alongside his role model.
“It is a little strange,” he told Arsenal.com. “He was one of the players I really looked up to [when I was younger]. It's a priceless experience to play and train alongside him.
“Every minute detail in the way he plays is quality. You look at everything he does and he's an example to behold.
“I try to watch players like Henry in training and watch what they do. He's the player I want to be like.”

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
Not that great, Liam. Subbed off last game, and also in a couple of games I saw him play in at the start of the season, and he doesn't really seem up to the pace of the game yet. Positioning suspect in what I saw but that was earlier on. He's only scored once and he's yet to impose himself the way he was doing with Feyenoord.
He also had to deal with a couple of injuries, the last one keeping him out for the dreaded 3 weeks. Although this time it actually was 3 weeks.

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
I guess he's
a) getting used to living in another country at such a young age
b) getting used to english football which is vastly different to football in holland
Still, with what he did at Feyenoord, I'd thought he'd be banging on the door for a place in the first team squad. Maybe next year...

Might sound a bit wengeresque this one...but I would be banking on this lad coming good,
If he adjusts and settles well from what I have seen of him......
That's a defender spanker right there....
