Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
I don't think I've seen a Denilson update on the loan watches and not been disappointed. Either he is in off-season or having a disaster during the match. Good to see Bartley doing well still.
Read this today and found it promising...
Wenger: I have a plan for Miyaichi
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed on Sunday that he has thought of a plan for Japanese prodigy Ryo Miyaichi.
The 19-year-old has attracted interest by clubs around the world, although he has yet to appear for the Gunners in first-team league action.
"I will have a chat with him tomorrow (Monday) and I have a little plan," Wenger told the club's official website after their dramatic FA Cup win against Aston Villa.
"Oxlade-Chamberlain plays on the flanks now too, so if I can find an opportunity for [Miyaichi] to play somewhere I will decide whether to do that."
With less than 48 hours remaining on the winter transfer window, the Frenchman reveals that Miyaichi will most likely be loaned to another English team if the club decides to do so.
"It will have to be in England because he will lose the homegrown [status] if he leaves the country," Wenger clarified.
The "Homegrown Rule" requires each Premier League team to register at least eight players who have accumulated three years at British academies before their 21st birthday.
The Japanese forward, who turned 19 in December, has already spent a year with the club and will need to dedicate his next two years in English teams should he wish to fulfill the requirement.
The slim chance of Miyaichi leaving the country, however, has not deterred Valenciennes boss Daniel Sanchez after telling the French media on his desperation to secure the youngster.
"It will be Miyaichi or nothing," he said.

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
How old is Gavin Hoyte? I thought we sold him a long time ago. He seems to have been here for ages. (No, I'm not confusing him with Justin.)
Also, I'm really excited to see Bartley. Looks a top prospect. He seems to really enjoy playing at Rangers, though, which might be a problem if he wants to leave.

Good to see Wellington and Vela getting some game time. I still have hope for the former, and the latter will hopefully fetch a decent price at some point. Joel Campbell seems to be progressing. And Bartley must be in the squad next year.

Supposedly Eisfeld could make his debut in the reserve game at Swansea tonight. Will be interesting to see how he does.

Is it bad of me to not have heard of any of these players other than Yennaris, Eastmond, Ozyakup and now Eisfeld?
I would have thought Eastmond would be loaned at a championship team. Was it last season or the 1st half of this season where he was at Millwall?

I thought out of those guys, Ebecilio would be the most well known, thought the press picked up on him quite a lot when we signed him?

I hope Ice-Field(pronunciation?) scores then the media will kick up a "next big thing" storm which gets kinda funny in the British media.

GOAL FOR ARSENAL! Gnabry plays in Eisfeld, whose shot from eight yards is saved but Ansah tucks in from close range (22) 1-0

Yep. Arsenal really need to find a way to put these matches on the website. United and Chelsea get to watch their kids play whenever they want, we have to settle for tweets.

Tommy Eisfeld off at HT for Reserves. Lots of nice touches and passes, plus made the opening goal. Great start to #AFC career.
