Mario Leontiou wrote:He hasn't. Spent most of his time here injured unfortunately which has hampered his development. But not good enough. He, Hoyte, Eastmond from that line up are all playing for moves at the end of the season.
Park got subbed off at half time for Josh Rees, who has taken 10 minutes to equalise.
Currently 1-1 with about half an hour left.
Whatever happened with Eastmond Mario? Seemed a likely type at one point (vague much?), and then got himself injured and I never heard of him again..

In my opinion, Eastmond is no where near up to it for Arsenal.
Also, he can't speak english properly.

When did he have that short stint in the first team? Was that last season or the season before?

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
I don't think Eastmond was ever good enough. Even when he had a few first team appearances couple of seasons ago, he didn't impress me. I think he has been kept around due to his versatility in being able to play RB and DM, but he did break his ankle last season so the club were always going to do right and stick with him, but I think this is his last season. He isn't Premiership standard.
He didn't have a successful loan spell at Millwall and that's always a concern when a player who wants to play for Arsenal can't cut it at an average Championship club. I also wonder if he has any attitude problems.

Eastmond was never good enough. He played because we had an injury crisis (familiar...). But I would be very disappointed to see him stay.

I wouldn't mind seeing Miquel going on loan once our defensive injury crisis is over. He's put in a few decent performances this season.

No indeed, he looks good and I think he and Bartley will spell the end of Squillaci come the Summer.

Next season we could be overloaded with CB's if we don't offload. Kos, TV, Mert, Djourou, Squillaci, Miquel, Bartley
I'd say Squllaci will definitely go, and I wouldn't be unhappy to see the back of DJ either.

Me too, I saw him for the U18s a couple of times and he made some absolutely shocking errors at the back. At the time I didnt think that would translate well on the step up to the seniors, but I have liked the look of him when he has played this season.

I think they are the obvious choices, I think Squillaci should be let go and we would need to see if Djourou can regain some form, but lets face it, he hasnt been good for a while and ""IF"" Bartley and Miquel continue to improve they will deserve a shot in the first team squad.

"I've been getting a lot of tweets asking if I am going on loan to any teams this January, the truth is I'm still 3weeks away from fitness...
And I haven't spoken to the boss about going on loan. But I would like to thank @kylebartley22 for mentioning me in his interview. #Topman"

I'm not sure it's as easy as that. I assume Squillaci is on pretty high wages, and how long does his contract run? "Letting go" of players is easier said than done in those circumstances, Almunia being a good example.

Re: Reserves / Youth Thread
He had a pretty good game from what I saw, booked early and kept his cool when the ref made some questionable decisions regarding his challenges. However it is just one game, he needs to learn about consistency and hopefully will get that at Wolves.

Ghanaian media say Arsenal have offered a trial to Asante Kotoko's teenage left-back Baba Abdul Rahman. Interesting.

was he that good??wolves are talking about putting a 10-12 million bid for him in summer in that forum.
from the same forum:
"Not sure if you'll get to see it on MOTD but Johnson ran over to the fans at the end of the game to applaud them and threw his shirt into the crowd, Frimpong followed and was given some grief by a spuds fan, he just gave him a quick 1 - 1 with his fingers and ran back towards the tunnel, if only I could of seen the fans face, he must of been fuming as Frimpong ran off with a smile on his face and all the Wolves fans cheering."

The Wolves fan's seem to be praising him a lot for his passing, something he really needs to improve
