Re: Olivier Giroud
I suspect Wenger's expectations for him will be low for his first season. He will take time to integrate and step up. And will come to the fore as Van Persie gets older/leaves the following season.
PS. 6 foot 3.5!! Didn't realise he was so tall. Good for challenging in the premier league.

Better aerial duel percentage than Crouch as well, who is like 7'5".

33 League goals for Montpellier over 2 seasons. He is by no means proven. Worth the risk though I think.

Re: Olivier Giroud
Watching him play (youtube and so on) it's not looking a risk in my eyes...he has pace, strenght and a good eye for a quick finish...being the height he is as said before gives us an extra set piece/corners option....
All well and said we have the pre season friendlies and tournament to adjust him into our game unlike wengers usual quick punt before the transfer window shuts where players are thrown into the premiership mix and struggle....
Being a guy that's also turned down the likes of chelsea means by the looks of it we have signed a player for the cause and will wear his badge on his sleeve....
And not on his pay cheque....
Welcome giroud....looking forward to seeing you play.

That statistic alone is only useful when considered in the context of the upward curve of his career. If he's made of the same stuff as Koscielny then that is excellent news.
Again, comparisons frequently made by Arsenal fans with Chamakh are pointless. Chamakh was a journeyman whose signing never seemed very ambitious. This one of the other hand is a very decent signing.
Two goalscorers in one window. Jesus. AW wants us all to die of shock.

yes its generally not the case.
On giroud, i think goals-to-shotss rato is important. His isn't particularly great. By no means awful though. But lets hope it improves.

Re: Olivier Giroud
From what I have seen of him he seems much more of a modern target man than any we already have in the squad. He should get good service from the flanks so should do well.
Still have no idea what our first 11 will be exactly. Can't wait for pre season to begin...

It's really bizarre that anyone would take an interest in that.

"Sick and disturbing" is quite an extreme reaction. Seeing a naked dude is "sick and disturbing"? Or is Sam's fascination toward it "sick and disturbing"?

Exactly, he likes - good for him, it shouldnt necessarily be posed on a forum where under18s could see it though should it.

agreed. If under 18s are on the internet (they are) then this is the least of their worries. Naked does not equal sex also. And its not like we go easy on our use of language or anything.

Re: Olivier Giroud
I don't necessary love it. Just find it "woah!" when I first saw it.
Never seen many naked footballers and especially one with a long penis (except the video of Michael Ballack doing rope jumps , the one Alan Dawson posted in the Facebook forum haha).
anyway, yeah I should have put it as NSFW so my bad there.
I'm not gay though, and I think some of you should really lighten up and don't judge people over the internet. Seriously.
