ya.it's pretty funny watching Wenger trying to conceal a deal that must have him pretty excited.

really excited about this signing.some of his goals this season have been pure class.
how we can go from having the worst team in recent history to having the best one in space of one season..

I think this is a bit premature but it certainly seems to be shaping up for next season to be a really exciting one. The team has shown some real glimpses of solidarity, togetherness, mental strength, and fight this season.. and our failings have, for the most part, been a result of injuries to many of our 1st team players. I think RvP's leadership has shown to be an incredibly positive attribute and we have some excellent youg talents emerging (and returning).

However, there is still a LOT of work to be done with this squad as evidenced by our bench's utter inability to be effective against AC Milan (just one example).

Steady on there now - worst to best doesn't happen in the space of one or two signings. This was never one of the worst, and I don't think it's one of the best, either. But it's certainly one of the most rounded we've had in the last 5-6 years, but lacks technical ability atm.

Made me laugh as well, watching that and knowing our manager over the years it simply must be a done deal, id put my house on it after watching that.

if we can add one more well proven player to our midfield,i believe it will be our best squad in last 6-7 years.
in podolski and persie we will have 2 top scorers from 2 of the top leagues in europe.
well make it almost top 2 scorers since gomez and huntelaar are on 18 where as podolski is on 16.

Well, it was studs up into his calf. Technically it's a red, I suppose.

First red was, but Podolski got sent off for a slight tangle with the other dude. Looked more like he was aggressively pushing the guy away more than anything worthy of a red although I suppose could be conceived as an attempted headbutt

Oh, I thought you were talking about the first red. Yeah, it's hard to tell what exactly was happening there. Maybe the cameras didn't catch all of it. Who knows.

Podolski denies Arsenal link. Reading between the lines, this actually makes it sound like it will happen.

He doesn't deny the link at all. He says nothing has been decided (see finalised) yet.

Podolski and Wenger said almost exactly the same thing as though they were reading from the same book
