These injuries seems to pop up, when there`s transfers involved.. Rooney, Bale and Suarez are all out with small injuries.
I think Rooney and Bale will soon be sold, lets hope Suarez will follow:)

Nobody seems to have mentioned that Gervinho's gone. Possibly the most frustrating player I've ever seen play for us, but I can't deny he gave 100% every time he played so whatever one might think of him, I wish him good luck. It just didn't work out at Arsenal for him.

I hope Gervinho's move works out for him. Certainly works for Arsenal I think!
Those 2 AFCON tournaments really did hinder his progress with us. But as you say, he always tried hard, so no hard feeling towards him.

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
did anybody see the press at the emirates today for the goal line technology?
once the ref had shown off how it works with the watches as the disply for a goal or not a member of the press turned to wenger who was also holding one and asked... 'what do you think of it?'
to wenger's come back of...
'i was wondering how to influence the decision on the watch'
hahaha classic!!

21 if you include youth players, plus another 5 on loans.
We have 22 in the squad if you don't include Chamakh, Bendtner and Park. But we also have youth players like Gnarby, Eisfeld, Bellerin etc to come in.
I think there is space for Suarez, Williams and Felliani.

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
I can't understand why we're not in for Lewandowski, the guy's got 1 year left on his contract and already said he won't be extending. Smack that suarez 40mil on him. No way Dortmund would refuse that much for a player they might lose to their biggest rival for free next year, that's afterall the only reason they're keeping him, cause beyern were the only ones interested.
This would give us a world class striker just entering his peak now, 25 years old soon. Why are we wasting time with Suarez, Liverpool won't sell for under 50m, he causes a lot of problems and he misses the 1st 6 games of the league next year he'll want out from us to Madrid again cause we don't win trophies. Can't understand why he's our only striking target. This transfer window has been so damn frustrating! Feels like we're not even after anyone except suarez, which is ridiculous, we lost Miquel yesterday so we've only got 3 CB's, 1 which is already injured. How can we not sign in any other positions? Crazy, shambolic management of this transfer window by the Arsenal manager and board!

One theory that my brother has put past me is that AW is using the Suarez saga to divert attention away from the other deals that he's working on. Which is pretty smart if he gets the players he wants. Or rather the players the Club needs.

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
i completely agree with marko, me thinks the suarez saga is a whole smokescreen , i dont think the club will spend 45 - 50 mil on a player (don't think liverpool will sell for less than that) ... n honestly its crazy spending so much on one player when you think of the resources we have, as a squad we are very lightweight, will need to replace (buy) a lot of positions also you have think of the wages too, our funds this year is huge compared to the past years but its not limitless.
and unless wenger is following a new battleplan when was the last time he ever put his cards on the table, he is a sly mofo and fingers crossed he pulls out something out of the magic hat

I think that's more of a longshot, optimists having a go after the deadline deals we did 2 years back. I still think that in the next week or so we will see 2 players coming in. 3 maybe but that's me wishing more than anything, really.Michael Foster wrote:a good friend of mine who works in a betting office has been told that alot of betting is being taken on arsenal signing 4 or more players on deadline day...Marko Maksimović wrote:One theory that my brother has put past me is that AW is using the Suarez saga to divert attention away from the other deals that he's working on. Re: Summer transfer window 2013
My dream transfers:
Gustavo - 15 mil
Begovic - 10-15 mil
Jackson Martinez - 30-35 mil
We'd absolutely contend for the league with those 3, sadly none will happen.

I hadn't included Martinez in the possibilities. Nice to know there are a couple still out there.Joey Schwab wrote:My dream transfers:

Personally not bothered about a keeper. I have full confidence in SZCZ, and Fab is not bad back up.
Gustavo sounds good, but still have hope for Felliani.
A young CB would be good now Miquel has gone on loan, to back up Kos, Per, TV, Sagna. Alex Song would be very handy!

Re: Summer transfer window 2013
Don't forget that Gustavo is really versatile and can play CB too. I mean, we have Arteta, Ramsey, Diaby who can play the DM role. I think we would be sorted if we got in 2 players that are pretty versatile.
