Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
With the BFG out long term, who will we play? What scoreline would you be comfortable with?
I think Mario was correct in an earlier thread when he said it is a 'must not lose'.
Szczesny
Le Coq Kos TV Sagna
Song
Arteta Rosicky
Theo RVP The Ox

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
I want a +2 goal differential. That will be the least that will make me comfortable. Anything less and I'm going to be shitting myself for the home leg until the final whistle blows.

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
I would take a 1-0 win, probably will end as a draw, maybe 1-1.
Rosicky has to start this one and maybe Arshavin, might be too big of a game for The ox.

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
A draw of any kind would be a great result. Preferably a score draw, but I'd still take 0-0 in a heartbeat. Glad that we're going into the game with a positive outlook.

It couldn't have been the 2-0 vs. AC Milan, could it have?

A goal advantage is a must coming back home...it will be too much nerves I think on a draw...

Away in Europe to one of the biggest European clubs of all time, a lead is not a must, it is a bonus. We are solid at home in Europe against continental teams.

I think a hit and run will almost be our only option...I don't think non stop all out will do us any favours as we have done in the past...

1-1 or any draw with more goals would be good for us. A win would be great.
I'd go:
Szczesny
Sagna Kos TV Le Coq
Rosicky Song Arteta
Theo Rvp The Ox
They conceded two goals from the counter against Juve the other day. We have the fastest player in the world, another quick tricky attacker in the Ox, and the best striker in the world, we have a very big chance.

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
Cautiously optimistic about this one. We should be too good for them over two legs. I'll probably look stupid afterward but I believe we'll win both legs.

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
One thing all Italian teams struggle against is pace and we have that in abundance in The Ox and Theo, both have to start

Re: AC Milan vs Arsenal
I dunno, after Theo did Barca in a couple of seasons back, Pep neutralized him in the second leg. That's what I'm weary off, after conceding 2 goals on the counter, they probably doing there homework about Theo, RvP and Ox... Wouldn't surprise me at all if they keep Theo quiet. BUT, as the ever-eternal optimist I do believe we will be too much for Milan and that the pace of our wingers and RvP's form will pull us through. This all depends on who we start in midfield. Rosicky has to start, as do Song and Arteta. Ramsey can come on from the bench but he was a sub today so maybe one of the others drops out.
Defence probably: Sagna, Kos, TV, Gibbs... If Gibbs was on the bench today he might get the nod. It's throwing him in the deep end... Coq right back and Sagna left is more likely. Looking forward to this one, would've had an exam the day after but weather conditions have forced my uni to push all exams back at least a week... Score. C'mon Arsenal!
