Re: AC Milan v Arsenal Post Match
We were terrible on every aspect of the game.
Attack - no creativity.
Tactics - completely outplayed, no pressure on the pitch, pressure high up on us.
Defending - shambles, even before koscielny limped off.
No positives from today's game, except for the fact RVP didn't get injured so we'll get to see him about ~15 more games until he wears the Barca/Real/City shirt.

Re: AC Milan v Arsenal Post Match
Total and utter bullshit. Tie over, humiliated in front of everyone.
We were shit from top to bottom and some players need to have a look at themselves in the mirror. This is what we deserve for weakening our side year after year, years of not being good enough for trophies as it is, and attempt to beat the best teams, teams who are improving.
And as it's Arsenal, I thoroughly expect us to lose to Sunderland, lose to Tottenham and Koscielny to be ruled out for the season.

Poor tentative sideways -passing,ball-watching first half.
Perhaps there is no more clearer indication that we lack sufficient quality in key areas.
And as Mario said elsewhere, big game bottlers to boot.

I can almost see us having a major collapse like the end of last season.

I have a terrible feeling we'll have to enjoy the return leg, because it's the last we'll see of CL football for a while...

I'm just waiting to read and hear all the crap about how their pitch was terrible, that it was relaid two days before the match, blah blah blah. I call that home field advantage. If we aren't adaptable enough to play and win on shitty surfaces, then we don't deserve to win anything.

Absolutely, the qualifiers aren't until late August.

As I said in the other thread, Sagna was very very poor for their second goal. I don't expect that from an international defender.

If our players are so pampered that they can only play on a perfectly laid and maintained pitch, we deserve to lose away fixtures. The pitch didn't seem to stop them running circles round us on the wings...

Absolutely agree. He was expecting the whistle to go for offsides instead of continuing to play. Very poor from someone a lot of us consider the best RB in the league.

Exactly Dennis thank you.Alex Hadjicharalampous wrote:''Arsenal are predictable, weak and lacking a winning mentality''
Walcott not knowing what to do to beat a man one v one so he stops, waits for the Sagna overlap who then doesn't clear the first man in his attempt to cross. Could've written that any time in the past 3 years.

Re: AC Milan v Arsenal Post Match
The game against Sunderland is going to be of massive importance.
A win can put us back on focus on whatever else we have left to fight for - 4th, FA cup. Not much but important that we achieve those nonetheless.
A defeat and our season will definitely collapse and go to waste, possibly paving the road for overall changes in the management, board and players - RVP out etc.
A draw and everything depends on how we react in the big games coming up in the league and in the replay.
So, if a normal performance today might have given us the chance to go about our own way even if we lose to Sunderland, such a horrid KO surely means we have to bounce back quickly, or else everything will fall apart.
I would say maybe it is best that from the ashes a new generation will rise, but seeing we are playing on such a non-level playing field, having almost every other top team outbid us and out-finance us, the ashes just might stay ashes. We have to keep our head above the water, nothing else matters.

Pitch didn't stop them working harder than us, too.
How many more humiliating results are we going to have this season? How many more times this season are we going to concede a shit load of goals? Oh yeah, Tottenham next week.
Still shaking my head at that disaster.

I never expected this team to get a win at the San Siro, was hoping for a draw at best. But I definitely didn't think we'll embarrass ourselves so much. We have to put this result behind us quickly, but knowing us, we are about to crumble.

Also, questions need to be asked of a manager who misjudges an opponent's tactics, doesn't change his tactics mid game to stop the team being overwhelmed, can't motivate his team at half time in a CL knockout game.

Sooo, essentially, we have to score 5 goals without conceding even 1 to go through. and if we do concede even one then we have to score 6 to go through... heh, the life of an Arsenal fan eh...

So much for being audacious and attacking. Being defensive as an alternative would have been nice though.
