This is probably complete bullshit. In my mostly twitter-less existence I'll say there is nothing there I consider to be very reliable, at least in terms of transfer news. But apparently this is the same guy who first broke the Santos and Arteta deals. And, whether it's just a case of there being so much speculation that eventually something has to come true or not, a lot of deals do break there.

To me this window feels different. I don't know why. Maybe my hopes are high because Gazidis said after the summer window that we 'purposely left some powder in the keg' and we've been so blatantly silent.

Our obvious intention here is 4th and as is it's either going to take a minor-ish Chelsea collapse or it's going to be by the skin of our fucking teeth.

My feeling is, say we buy Hazard for 30 mil and get a CL spot. We've basically broken even: -30 mil for Hazard +30ish mil for CL group stages. We are playing CL football, showed some intent to our players/fans and have another good player. That is obviously a better situation than +30 mil not spent on player but -30 mil for no CL.

IF this is true, which it isn't, I'm going to venture a guess and say Rosicky out. I think he is on a relatively high salary, might be attractive to some clubs and honestly I could see him going somewhere and doing OK. Also it is a little bit of a like-for-like move.

It could be true, and I hope it is. Us arsenal fans could use a lift. In any case, because Hazard is under 21, we don't have to sell/loan anyone for the 25-man squad. So rosicky can/should stay.

And I see that Willian not in Shakthar squad. Journo jonathan wilson said that suggests chelsea deal for him could be pretty advanced.

Yes, but he's one of the most unreliable reporters ever. previous prediction: modric, van basten, hiddink have all turned out wrong. Also Shakthar commented on Chelsea's bid. Could very well happen

Seems totally redundant to send a scout to watch Hazard this weekend, surely Wenger and his staff already know everything they need to know already if we have been looking at him for a while...any problems with his health will be picked up on his medical.

If we sign Eden Hazard I will genuinely be gob smacked!

Not at all. Liverpool's solution to their rebuilding was to spunk a load of cash on very average players. We have some of the most exciting young players in Europe, even if we fail to qualify for Europe, we are in a much healthier position than Pool
