Arsenal v Stoke
Emirates stadium
Kick off 3.00pm
So a return of stoke....
New signing Nacho Monreal could go straight into the Gunners side for the game against Stoke in the Barclays Premier League.
Centre-back Thomas Vermaelen (ankle) is a doubt, but midfielder Mikel Arteta may return after his calf injury.
Left-back Kieran Gibbs is set for around six weeks out with a thigh problem, while Francis Coquelin (hamstring) is also sidelined and forward Gervinho is away at the African Nations Cup.
Provisional squad: Szczesny, Monreal, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Sagna, Podolski, Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud, Mannone, Koscielny, Santos, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Diaby, Jenkinson, Rosicky.
Stoke have no new injury problems ahead of the trip to Arsenal.
The Potters are hoping full-back Marc Wilson, who has been out since October with a broken leg, will play a reserve game next week as he builds up to a first-team return.
Stoke made two new signings yesterday, goalkeeper Jack Butland and winger Brek Shea -but neither will be involved in the short term, with Butland having been loaned back to Birmingham and USA international Shea still recovering from a foot operation. Defenders Matthew Upson and Rory Delap have left the club.
Provisional squad: Begovic, Sorensen, Cameron, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Whelan, Nzonzi, Walters, Kightly, Etherington, Jones, Whitehead, Crouch, Jerome, Adam, Palacios, Owen, Shotton.
I want to see nacho come straight in for this game..give him the perfect opportunity to understand what the premier league is all about..
Keeping the team as it was for Liverpool bar changing Ramsey for diaby...
Prediction a first clean sheet for a while 2-0 arsenal.

Re: Arsenal v Stoke
I think we'll see:
Szcz
Sagna - Per - Kos - Monreal
Diaby - Jack
Theo - Santi - Pod
Giroud
Diaby in for Ramsey just for height and physicality, TV being a doubt and not in great form so I'll drop him too. Surprisingly I'm really confident for the first time against Stoke, I say 4-0. Nacho getting a goal maybe? Assist for Giroud header too.

-----------------Szczesny-----------------
Sagna---Mertesacker---Koscielny---Monreal
-----Arteta-------------------Wilshere-----
------------------Cazorla------------------
Walcott-----------Giroud-----------Podoski
That's my guess as to what the lineup will be. 3-0 to us.

The best Arsenal lineup you could get this season, save for Monreal instead of Gibbs and maybe Diaby, great team.

Re: Arsenal v Stoke
Team in full: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Diaby, Arteta, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Giroud.
Subs: Mannone, Jenkinson, Santos, Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla, Podolski
I'm happy to see Monreal start. Cazorla is rested for the game but I'm sure we will see him and podolski if we need them!
