Stephen Mitchell wrote:Everyone mentions RVPs pretty unprecedented run of goals, but in a strange way I also think he is one of our best (if not best) creative players too... his pass to Chamberlain for his 1st goal was wonderful. If only we had one RVP to thread the balls through, one to get on the end of them...
They talked the spoke way about Henry too

Re: Arsenal vs Blackburn Post Match
Robin van Persie recently spoke about Arsenals victory over Blackburn Rovers on the weekend, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott. The Dutch international continued his excellent goalscoring form this season by scoring a hat-trick against Blackburn at the Emirates on Saturday. England international Theo Walcott picked up three assists and highly rated England U-21 winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored two goals for the Gunners.
The Arsenal captain on Chamberlain and not putting to much pressure on the England U-21 player.
“He is a fantastic player already; he’s only 18 and is so young.” “He’s good on the ball – he has everything. He’s quick, he has movement, technique, can score a goal or give an assist. He has a great future.”
“But don’t put too much pressure on him. You always have periods when you are young when you have really high highs and you go up and down until you balance it a bit better.”
“He will have ups and he will have periods when he’s not playing so well. So my advice is to be aware of it and be patient.”
Robin van Persie on Theo Walcott and the amount of assists the England international gets.
“I love him, I honestly love him,” “I don’t understand the criticism. On Saturday he gave three very clear assists, two for me and one for Alex.”
“He was sharp, he was playing fantastically and, like anyone, he misses chances. But I miss chances. Ronaldo misses chances, Messi misses chances. It’s life, you know.”
“Sometimes I feel that people are a bit harsh on him. I don’t know why. If you look at his assists rate then it is unbelievable. “
“And he will score. Trust me, he will score. He will get 20 goals at least every season. You will see. Have faith in him.”
“He has given me so many assists. And for me, if you give an assist then it is worth a goal, especially if you give a great assist. It is as important as scoring a goal. For me he gave two simple tap-ins. That makes it more his goal than my goal.”
Lastly the Dutchman on setting up Thierry Henry for Arsenal’s last goal
“It was great because I wanted him to score, he scored a fantastic goal in the FA Cup but I wanted him to score in the Premier League as well.”
“Every single touch I had I was looking for him. I wanted to play him in.”
“And with the last kick of the match, it just happened. The only thing on my mind was passing to Thierry. I wanted him to score and he did.”

Thank fuck we have some players back and The Ox playing regularly and Rosicky in some form. We are able to rotate in all positions, except striker and GK.

I have a terrible feeling RvP will get injured after the first game against Milan.Jonathan Prendergast wrote:Samritpal Singh wrote:Fixture list up to Milan 2nd leg: Sunderland (a), Milan (a), Sunderland (a), Spurs (h), Liverpool (a), Milan (h).
