Kolo misses!

So does the Zambian!

8 pens and Gervinho still hasnt taken one? What does that say about his temperament?

What will that do for Gervinho's confidence? The guy has no composure as it is, but this may destroy him

I thought Gervinho would miss his before the shoot out started, and more so when everyone else scored and he still hadn't taken one yet. And quite tellingly, I think many Arsenal fans felt the same. I know a few on Twitter said the same.

We have a broken man coming back to the club, confidence wise this could really dent him for the rest of the season. Which is such a shame as he scored the winner in the semis and if Drogba scored his pen, he may have had a match-winning assist in the final and come back flying.

Didn't really want to see Kolo miss his penalty, either.

But I'm also very happy for Zambia. Seeing them singing throughout the penalties, the joy during the celebrations... it's what football is all about.

The one guy Gervinho could have really used in the dressing room on his return will be on a plane to New York, such a shame

Such a shame to see Gervinho miss that, imagine how he might be feeling now. But overall a great final the moment Zambia won everyone was so ecstatic it was a joy to behold.
