Arsenal v Liverpool
Venue: Emirates Stadium Date: Saturday, 2 November
KO 17:30
This is it....
The first of major domestic games is upon us...liverpool head to us knowing who ever wins signals out something more than three points..
would i like to pick the team...no
will i predict the score..no chance...
This is nothing more than sit back enjoy the ride and hopefully come out the other end stamped down as a title contender...
Team news...
Mikel Arteta is available to face Liverpool after serving a one-match suspension.
Mathieu Flamini remains sidelined with a groin problem, and an ankle injury rules out Serge Gnabry.
this is one game where the home fans need to rock the place and get behind the team...COYG!!!!!!!!!!!
oh sod it 2-1 arsenal lol!!

Excited! But fearing the worst without Flamini - who has so quickly become one of the first names on the teamsheet for me.

Re: Arsenal v Liverpool
Someone needs to be slotted in for the absence of Flamini and to do the exact copy of what he does....just for this game...this is where it could be won or lost....the whole team needs to be 110% fired up for this....I hope they are......time to knock on arsenal.

Just to reinforce my point in 8 starts with Flamini in the team we have won 7 and drawn once. We have lost 3 times without him in the team from the start. He is a must play for me whenever fit.

Re: Arsenal v Liverpool
I said it in some other thread after deadline day that Flamini's signing was more important than Ozil, in the grand scheme of things. And so it is proving right now. But let's not forget, we've been on a decent run ourselves towards the end of last season without Flamini or Ozil. No one has the natural instincts to do what Flamini does; to always stay close to the back four and try win the ball back at all costs if danger is sensed. Hence without Flamini, Ramsey will have to play more deep so as to partner Arteta and ease the burden. We may not have plenty of runners in the attacking third most times(if Ramsey plays deeper than he normally does), but this a game which we mustn't lose at any costs, and then look to win it if we can.
However, it's a game of football after all and I'm staying optimistic: 2-1 to the Arsenal !

It could be a draw of course.Michael Foster wrote:

All I hope for is that if we have the chances to win that we actually finish the thing off, unlike in 2007/2008.

Re: Arsenal v Liverpool
It's an absolute must that we win this game. Chelsea just lost to Newcastle and beating Liverpool will give us a 5 gap from those 2.
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Mertesacker Gibbs
Ramsey Arteta Ozil
Santi Olivier Jack
I think it will end a draw or a 2-1 win for us.

Arsenal team to play Liverpool: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Rosicky, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Giroud
Subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Monreal, Jenkinson, Hayden, Akpom, Bendtner
Where is Jack? Injured?
We don't have a single genuine attacking option on the bench.

Re: Arsenal v Liverpool
Jack has injured his ankle aparently! The bench is very weak, with one of the most important perioda of the season! This is not good! But the 11 starting today is capable of winning this one!Vanig Bostanian wrote:Arsenal team to play Liverpool: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Rosicky, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Giroud
