Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Venue: Selhurst Park Date: Saturday, 26 October
we head back to an away game for the run of what quite hard games coming thick and fast after this game we have chelsea,liverpool,dortmund,united...
in as little as a few weeks we will see what we are made of...my predictions is out of those games we can take 7 points..i really feel we can turn over liverpool and united with the chelsea game picking up one point for the draw....but first its Crystal Palace...not doing well shipping goals for fun and a manager down...if anybody is to take over i cannot see it in time for this match (no bad thing)
my prediction for this 0-4 arsenal
team news...
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was substituted with an ankle injury in midweek but is expected to be fit.
Mathieu Flamini is available after missing the defeat by Borussia Dortmund with concussion.

flamini fit is great news but i still hope that wenger will only play either flamini or arteta. in a game like dortmund we would have benefited greatly with both their partnership but with palace i think a more attacking lineup will benefit us.
3-1 to arsenal, one goal for palace becos we are arsenal and we love playing santa claus

Re: Arsenal v Crystal Palace
I think we should rest both Ramsey and Jack even if they are fit. We have plenty of cover and no matter what combination of midfielders we play, we should be able to win this. The midweek rest is good enough for the Flamster and I thought Arteta was our best player against Dortmund. I'd go with:
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Mertesacker Monreal
Ozil Arteta Flamini
Rosicky Giroud Cazorla
Monreal instead of Gibbs not because Gibbs is bad or anything, but because Gibbs probably needs a rest and with him being one of our best players this season, we need him fresh for the above mentioned tough games. Besides, Monreal is a more than able backup.

Looks like we could do with a little width in this game.

Ramsey's trying too much trickery-saw it vs. Dortmund too? Reverting a bit to last year's form. Too long on the ball, too many backheels etc. Maybe he's getting tired.....

Yeah, that too probably. To be fair, Palace are really energetic and doing a good job of closing us down...Meshaal wrote:Or over-confident?

I think we started off using this match as a practice session for Dortmund but had to change tactics when Flamini had to go off.Michael Schatzky wrote:Yeah, that too probably. To be fair, Palace are really energetic and doing a good job of closing us down...Meshaal wrote:Or over-confident?

Arteta sent off. Quite a test for this team, 25 minutes to hold on to the lead with 10 men.

That's almost actually worse news for next week.. if Arteta misses the League cup game mid week can that count as a one game ban?Meshaal wrote:Arteta sent off. Quite a test for this team, 25 minutes to hold on to the lead with 10 men.

It's a good opportunity to test
Vermaelen in midfield.
