Mini-revival over or just a minor blip?

I think this result should make Wenger aware....and very aware the transfer window is open.....

As for Gervinho and Rambo coming on....offered us nothing yet again....

Completely abject display. What a way to start the new year. At least our deficiencies are clear to see and changes need to be made

Also highlights how one-dimensional Theo Walcott is as well.

No loss if he decides not to sign the contract, we would be better off selling him and getting some money.

Not in the same class as Fabregas, van Persie or even Nasri.

What the fuck is up with Sagna?

Arteta also being exposed as the defensive mid-fielder.

Gervinho and Ramsey coming on especially with the low confidence levels they must have right now - unacceptable.

That idea could only be proved in the long run anyway.

The idea that a couple of wins procured through dives constituted an upturn in form was illusory anyway.

There have been two many games like this one this season in which we have looked too easy to play against and lacking in cutting edge. It's going to be a long season.

Shit performance. I wish we could drop the entire XI for our next game. They simply deserve to be dropped.

Imagine bringing on Rosicky and Arshavin instead of bringing on Ramsey and Gervinho to change the game. I simply don't understand Wenger.

Arshavin was an effect substitute earlier in the season. I wouldn't trust him to start a game but in twenty minutes at the end he would create more than most of his team-mates.

As for Rosicky, it's a mystery. Our midfield was so porous today. I think the defence deserve at least some credit because they get so little support.

Continuously playing the long ball and crossing to Theo Walcott makes me feel justified in claiming that our players are quite obviously insane.

Well the team isn't well-drilled enough and there are constant changes up front so there's a lack of continuity. There was no-one close enough to Walcott to try to put balls through to him and the long balls were doomed to failure.

Like I said before it doesn't look like a team that is being coached well. It's all a bit vague and lacking in shape and discipline.

Well after the quick start....the only way I can sum this up is by...its not so much players we want to add to the squad but more along the lines of..we need to be thinking we have players that need replacing....

I think most if not all of us agree the substitutions were baffling, Ramsey instead of Rosicky makes no sense, Rosicky offers a little more in every department for me, not just going forward. And Gervinho, well, he is absolutely dreadfull recently. on todays performance its hard to see what Wenger sees in him, is he even premier league standard? Would he start for any other premier league team? He is such a bemusing player, I dont get it.

On a side note without going in depth I expected more from the Ox today following his goal in the last game. Still a point away from home isnt the end of the world, still 5th which is about our standard these days.

The Ox is a long-term investment and he will frustrate us sometimes in the meantime. The other thing is that I reckon we saw more promising performances from him when he was cutting in from the left.

As always, the most frustrating thing is this formation. It's such a stinker sometimes, just to give 4-4-2 a go could produce some interesting results. We'll certainly never see the best of Giroud if he is constantly in and out of the side.

When I think about Ox's role in the squad, I wonder how it would effect our results if we had someone like Clint Dempsey to play that role in stead.

I think it is undeniable that we sacrifice points for bring through all these young players. Amazing that we have stayed in the Top 4.

Exactly.time and time again i have got this feeling that every season we are trying to build up the squad for next season or the season next to that instead of playing for the current season.
its been happening from last 5-6 years

We have had no continuity in this team for years. You can't expect a team to play well together when they've only played with each other for a season. Hopefully we've got our spine locked for a good few years and we can build that cohesion. It is clear this season that often everyone is on different wavelengths, but when it clicks we can be devastating.

Agree. I get the feeling that if we played the same back 4 for a long run, we'd concede less silly goals. Going forward, they clearly need more games together.
