Need a 2 goal cushion with this guy on the pitch.
We need a 2 goal cushion anyway. At all times.

Just when I was going to say we probably won't get to see Giroud score for us ever again!

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
Ramsey makes an effort to get back and defend, he has a better engine than the midfield three. It makes some sense even if he isn't in good form.
As for Coquelin, well AW is very generous with his game time.
Awful match tactically, we played it like we were down the park, but we've had enough moments of quality to be leading it 5-3 at this point.
The problem with Theo is that we already have one player in Podolski who disappears for half the match, when we add in Theo who fucks up all the counter attacks and can't make a basic pass yet can score goals, we have a right bunch of muppets up front.
Nice goal by Giroud.

6-3 seams the goals are still flowing for us....we may have defensive problems...but at least we are learning to out score...

Crazy. Good for the goal difference and for team spirit, not much else.

Fantastic end product today...10 on target 7 goals.....keep working on our defensive frailties and we can start really moving forward...forth best goal difference in the league..
Need to tie down Theo and realy start him buzzing....

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
Let's be realistic, there will be days when Walcott doesn't score and is still useless elsewhere on the pitch. He is a limited player, but of course we will see the best of his finishing if he plays centrally. Why don't we just play 4-4-2, this is the Premier League not Europe, we wouldn't be worse off. That midfield is so lightweight and overrun half the time as it is.
Today was only fun at the end, the rest was a mess. We couldn't beat Newcastle in the end-to-end contest, we were just as average as them defensively. That's a worrying sign but nothing new.

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
Being realistic is that this team is still finding its feet its a full first for some and a new for others....defensively we were good at the start of the season and could not buy a goal...bow we seam to be netting quite regularly....sort out the back line and find some balance between the two...starting to feel a little more optimistic about the season....apart from these daft errors at the back.....still need somebody as a good back up keeper to keep big sez on his toes....still not happy about him letting that second in....
Maybe the defensive mid is needed to help sort out the back line....and see what happens with the striking options....

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
Couldn't really concentrate on who did what because I was watching the game at the pub and not at home but a few things:
Walcott's finish seems good, but still has a lot to learn when it comes to decision making, but still he HAS to stay
Jack cost us two goals but did some great stuff as well, all action as usual from him
Our defense usually sucks without Mertesacker
Gibbs was Santos in disguise
Sagna gave away a cheap foul for their first goal
I love Olivier Giroud even if he plays like Chamakh

And Chambo is the type of player who can score you 15 goals a season from midfield/flanks. He had 2-3 great chances on target well saved in recent weeks and he scored his well taken shot today.

It pisses me off seeing Ramsey and the other guys on the bench not selebrating like mad when we score! Just see the highlights from the goals.. Ramsey is applauding but looks pissed somehow!

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
Because he wants to be on the pitch himself? Im sure he is happy he just signed a new long term contract but if you've watched Ramsey, during handshakes, after matches, in interviews, when goals are scored and he is on the pitch, you'll know he really doesnt seem like a very sociable/smiley/jump around kinda guy. Infact i'd go as far as saying he isnt a very popular guy from the things ive seen, not unpopular or disliked, just not "one of the lads".
