It's gonna be on a free too. Hopefully Wenger pulls something out of the bag soon, I'm starting to encounter that usual feeling where every other team is announcing signings but us.

Whatever his response to a question would be, I dont think that gives us any indication on what he is actually doing.

Re: January transfers
8 days into the transfer right before an extended run of fixtures - not even looking close to signing anyone to improve the team or help out with all the crucial matches coming up.
There is an opportunity to improve the situation - or atleast make an effort.
Players we were linked to before the transfer window (and their fate):
Huntelaar - Extended contract
Holtby - Did not extend contract and signed for Sp*rs
Demba Ba - Chelsea
David Villa - Not for sale
Llorente - No movement
Adrian Lopez - No movement
Arda Turan - No movement
M'Vila - QPR put in a bid for GBP 8 million
Strootman - No movement, stronger rumours linking him with United, Liverpool and AC Milan
Wanyama - No movement
Henry - Loan deal ruled out
Zaha - Walcott still stalling on contract and Arsenal not pursuing Zaha either as a signal to Walcott?

Re: January transfers
Out of the lot I would take m'Vila,Llorente,zaha...I mean surely they would not cost drastic amounts and what with offloading players wage funds are there...
I really like the look of zaha....strong,great with both feet but seams very direct in his play,
M'Vila is a player we could benefit from...and we need a player since the departed song...I belive this is one fact why we are so defensively poor...and out of the forwards Llorente is probably the only possibility we have...

Ahh cheers! I'm sure if we really wanted him though we would have got him so no problem he can fuck off to them.

Re: January transfers
Been hearing a lot of things on Twitter (so just take these as possibilities, not certainties).
- David Villa deal fell through because we wanted to include the money Barca owed us for Song in the deal
- Theo is set to sign a 5-year deal worth 90,000 pounds a week
- M'Vila deal isn't going to happen once again due to his attitude in the past
- Apparently we''re now really interested in Biglia, lining up a bid
- Wenger will be offered a board position in the summer, Pep has expressed interest in managing us and will be brought in
Once again, these aren't facts, just stuff I've been hearing

That's the most exciting rumour for mine, not that I'm apart of the Wenger out brigade but my word that would be some combination! Pep injecting some freshness in the squad and Wenger pulling the strings for him at board level? Yes please. Still, I think Arsene will be here for season 13/14, not that I'm disappointed with that mind.
James McCarthy ruomours seem to be gathering momentum, good player and would be a welcome addition. Right price too, may happen.
We need some proper width though, who have been linked with to provide that? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head?

Re: January transfers
I heard the delay in transfer dealings is because Wenger and the club are checking with Pep about which players he wants.
When I say heard, I mean I made it up.

Re: January transfers
Well I got a feeling its going to be a window of watching everyone else strengthen with our potential targets ending up elsewhere and us left scraping the barrel for a half decent bargain....the theo contract is doing the rounds with him about to accept 90k 5yr deal...
So guess that's our signing....

Yup any story 'gaining traction' on twitter is just a result of morons retweeting 'rumours' conjured from thin air.... How many windows has M'Vila been a done deal now?..

Re: January transfers
Wenger has provided an absolute gem recently, saying this Arsenal team is "quite complete" (That's why we're 6th and not challenging for the league?) and that he might not sign anyone because we only bring in "exceptional" players (really, Gervinho's exceptional?) and we haven't found any yet (again, really? I'm not equiped with one of the world's most reknowned scouting systems in the world and I could name you a few very excellent players right now, how the fuck is it that Wenger can't "find" any?)

He is really asking to get it handed to him this month. It's like he's appalled by the idea of adding to the squad.

You have a point, we could quite easily lose a fair few fixtures this month and end up out of the FA Cup as well, which would make this all seem very silly, not putting things in place now could see last minute deals go through which seem panicked, like we've esperienced before. Ofcourse we could have a terrific month, we know we can if the players perform to their "potential".

Re: January transfers
I just wish Wenger would recognise we're not as good as we should be or as good as he thinks we are, and then try to address our shortcomings, is that so hard and too much to ask for. Don't spout shit about how this team is complete or the best he's ever had, etc knowing we have so many issues. All that does is turn people against him and it's hardly like it helps for the team's confidence anyway, he should be motivating them outside the public eye anyway... and the fact that Wenger is more up and down about signing or not signing anyone is more infuriating than the rubbish our team often serves us, rather hold your cards close to your chest and not say anything, but also please for the love of christ, atleast play a card...
