Le Coq is a different player to what Rambo offers the team, and whilst a massive talent, no way can the Ox consistently replicate what Santi offers us this season. I personally think The Ox is over rated by everyone at the moment, he is still very raw and gives pretty inconsistent performances.
I agree with that statement. I've been guilty of it and sometimes it's hard not to get a bit excited because he is such a talent. It doesn't mean he hasn't done ok this season, I thought he put in a good shift vs Liverpool when the team needed his work rate and discipline and was pretty decent last week vs Southampton although he tried a bit too much. Clearly is a good player with a huge future. But it started last season after the Man Utd game and multiplied by 10 after the AC Milan game, there's so much expectation on him to do something on the ball every time he gets it. During the Euros it was the same.
Whilst his consistency is improving and he will only go from strength to strength, I think it's important to ease off on him a bit and not expect too much this season, at least not right away, this will be his first proper season where he's expecting to be in the first team squad every week.
