Arsenal v Chelsea
8:00pm at Emirates
Looks like Koscielny is out for 1 game, and Jack is suspended for 2. Podolski appears to be available.
-------- SZCZ ---------
Sagna -- Per -- Verm -- Gibbs
---- Flam ---- Ramsey ------
---------- Ozil ---------
Theo -- Giroud -- Cazorla
Bench: Rosicky, Arteta, Pod, Nacho, Jenk

Re: Arsenal v Chelsea
I agree with that lineup. Often when Arteta plays against disciplined sides they press him or foul to disrupt our game but with this lineup Ramsey can link the defence and attack and interchange with Flamini. Or either Özil or Santi can come deep to fetch. It will be tighter than a virgin snatch.
Hoping for a 2-0, would take a one-nil to the Arsenal but it'll probably end 2-1. As long as we don't go behind first.

If he leaves Flamini out of the starting 11 it could be a big mistake and I think he will you know...

And the commentator says " ..enough fouls have accumulated that surely the ref must take further action....."

A couple of great chances at the end for Giroud. Chelsea defended extremely well, the whole game.
Strange that Wenger made no subs. Especially in such tiring conditions. But it worked as we improved and had our best spell in the final 20 minutes.

I don't know, he said that after a 9 day break nobody was that tired. Tbh I was thinking he should bring on Santi or Bendtner but if you look at it, the conditions weren't exactly ideal for our quick passing game nor would Bendtner get involved in time.
Ref should have sent of Mikel or at least a yellow for him and Ivanovic. A penalty for Theo would've been soft really, it was so obvious that he was milking it.

It should have been given though. It wasn't a clear chance on goal, but a foul in the penalty area is a penalty. Anyway, I might be the only one who thinks that Arteta should be ahead of Flamini in the pecking order except for certain games. Thought Wenger was right not to make subs as well. He had an out of sorts Santi, an unfit Poldi, and uhm...Bendtner who couldn't have offered much more.

We all love Giroud, he gives 130% every game, but he needs to bury those chances in such tight games if we are going to win the league.
