Post by Michael Foster Tue Oct 01, 2013 1:02 am

Tue 1 October 2013
KO 19:45 emirates stadium

here we go again back to the group of death...2 points clear at the top of our domestic league, players on the way back, new goal hero's...

loving being a gooner at the mo!!

Arsène Wenger has announced the following team news ahead of the Champions League game against Napoli:
on the latest news...

From Saturday's squad everybody is available. Rosicky is back into the squad for tomorrow and is available again. He has recovered from his hamstring injury.
on having Rosicky back...
He can play in all the offensive positions and I'm very happy that he's back because he is very influential in our game. I haven't decided who will start and who will not start. But I'm very happy that he's back in the squad...no fresh injury concerns...

A win and we'll have a big chance to qualify for the knockout stages.

I think we'll see the same team that started at Swansea. May be Arteta could come in for Wilshere, but apart from that, nothing changes.
Win tomorrow night and we have a few toes into the knock out stages.

and its exactly what we need to be doing this season...no unnecessary extra games, replays, stress if taking it yo the final days...get our heads in the door and the rest will follow....

really looking forward to this one...hard to call score wise....could see a 2-2 draw if anything....

At home to an I-talian team given the form we're in? Should be aiming for 3 points (without being over-confident).

It's good to have Tomas back. If he is on the bench or let's say starts instead of Jack and Jack goes to the bench at least we will have some genuine attacking option on the bench to change the game if things aren't going too well with our plan A. So far we've had Gnabry Ryo Chuba/Bendtner Vermaelen Monreal and goalie on the bench none of who is a genuine attacking option. OK, Gnabry is doing well now but he isn't experienced enough to come on in a Champions League match against a team like Napoli and win you a game. Besides, we shouldn't be putting that much pressure on him.

I expect Tomas to come in a play left wing. He has played on the wing before, where as the shape wasn't quite working with Jack there. So Jack to start on the bench.

Not to forget Rosicky has scored almost all of his cracking goals from the left side of the field. Not sure if he still has his shooting boots on, but he has been working well defensively too. And his team work is unmatchable. Napoli have started well in Italian league, but we have recovered very well. This squad will have enough cover till January. 3-1 to Arsenal!

Not to get too carried away, but that was a world class first half. everything we touch is turning into gold. Ozil's goal is arguably the goal of the season so far. Technically flawless.
