"Jack Wilshere completed all 33 passes that he attempted in the first half versus Queens Park Rangers."

This board is dead. Good win though.
Bloody Cesar, why the hell do all these goalies play as if their lives depend on it at the Emirates?

Re: Arsenal vs QPR
Better. We need to grind out these wins.
Obviously the team is not firing on all cylinders. I suppose they are all just learning how to play together.
Still a lot of problem areas- interesting to see that it was Jack who was running directly at the QPR defence, the player who hasn't played for 12 months.
Ramsey had a chance to do exactly the same from just outside the box, but chose to lay it off to Theo instead.
I thought Theo made a difference coming on, he got some dangerous balls in- don't know what it means that Walcott was our most "clinical" player -sign him up!

Faded away, maybe some will come back if we start playing better. I see a lot more people posting on twitter instead.Michael Foster wrote:i just dont know where everybody has gone...migrated to another forum>???

Also, I'm glad Sagna is back. While he was out, I was thinking we could do just fine with Jenkinson playing RB, but Sagna offers SO much more when he's on the pitch. I'm fairly confident that his defensive intelligence prevented a goal or two.

The problem with posting on twitter is that a lot of my followers don't give a shit about football, and I'm pretty sure I'm annoying them. Also, that the timeline is constantly updating, it's difficult to keep up and read a backlog of posts.

I agree. It's not like many discussions happen on this forum while the game is on, but on twitter it's even more difficult to follow because of having to go back , go forward ,etc.Dan Hakim wrote:Michael Schatzky wrote:Faded away, maybe some will come back if we start playing better. Re: Arsenal vs QPR
right back to the game...
its a result...i will put part of the worst of the performance down to the fact that players coming back need to find the grove with each other...
but this said i am seriously not looking forward to next weeks game...

Re: Arsenal vs QPR
Clicking on a post and reading comments made by other people, scrolling through other posts that having nothing to do with the game, reading Piers Morgan's over reactions to the game, it's not the ideal place to have a discussion about the game.
But I generally don't talk about the game while it's happening. I go full screen because then the annoying ads don't come up on illegal streams, and I'm not going to toggle between full screen and not just to say "Oh come on! What was that?!" or, "Blow the fucking whistle already!!!"

Re: Arsenal vs QPR
Yes, it's a result. We ground out a win, but a lucky no call on the offside is the difference between us winning a game and drawing a game against THE TEAM IN LAST PLACE!!! I understand that we have players coming back from injury and need time to gel, but, seriously, stop it.
Also, MOVEMENT OFF THE BALL! Everyone is just standing around, not getting into position, or creating space, for the man on the ball. What happened to the team that plays "the right way"? What happened to our exciting, entertaining brand of football? We got lucky today, and it wasn't until the subs that anything started to happen despite Wilshere's play.

It seems like we are in the very formative stages of learning how to play together. If Giroud is going to be our striker, it is unfair to expect him to slot right in and start scoring, especially when our new playmaker has just arrived as well. Let alone JAck just coming back. Teams take time to gel. Look at Song and Rvp last year, they had to play together for how many seasons before SOng was able to do those lobs right onto his boot?
What I don't get is starting Gedrvinho at striker for 3-4 games. If that is not his position, Imo doens't benefit the team in the long run to have him play there.
