I have a feeling it'll be something like 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2

Who do you think will win the US Open? All the big boys are still there, but I think Federer has some belief in himself restored.

Hard to look past a Nole/Federer final, but Murray could put a spanner in the works. Reckon Djokovic will do it though

Re: Tennis
Murray was a set and 5-1 down in the 2nd, playing pretty ordinary stuff. Somehow found a way to win the 2nd on a tie break and now Cilic looks like he gave up
3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 3-0 (2 breaks to Murray)

Re: Tennis
Federer beaten by Berdych 7-6, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 if he can replicate that form, a challenge for anyone to live with such big hitting
Nole vs Del Potro should be epic

Re: Tennis
I'm a Federer fan and only "use" Nole because if Federer can't he's the only one who can beat Nadal. Nole has no use for me now because Nadal isn't there. Would love it if Ferrer or Del Potro win this.

Re: Tennis
Murray breaks his duck and well deserved. He finally seems to have found a balance between attack and defence over the last year which has helped him finally push on to another level. Whether it is enough to consistently challenge the top guys remains to be seen, but for now he has just won the Olympics and the US Open in a month.
Unlike others, I quite like Murray because I can relate to his 'grumpiness' and frustrated demeanour on court as that is how I play badminton most of the time . Im glad he has finally gotten over the hump and hopefully he can use this year as a springboard like Djokovic did last year.

haha, I'm always chuntering to myself when playing tennis. Few years ago I ended up breaking a racket by chucking it, aiming for the fence so it could just hit and drop, but threw it slightly to the left and it smacked into the pole holding up the fence and cracking it in half. I was devastated. So now, I stick to mouthing off to myself.
Delighted for Murray. Finally got the monkey off his back and won't have to be reminded of Fred Perry anymore and it was a deserved win. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic won their first against Philippousis, Puerta and Tsonga, 0 majors between them. So Andy had to do it the hard way. Didn't think after losing sets 3 and 4 he would stop the tide which makes the win even better by outlasting Novak. Another defeat from that position and who knows how he would have bounced back.

After being 4 - Love down in the first set, Arsenal came back to beat Reading 7-5.

Re: Tennis
So, who do you think will win the Australian Open? Federer? Djokovic? Murray? Some other like Del Potro maybe?
I have to say the former three all have equal chances of winning.
Federer is simply Federer, we all know how good Djokovic is, and well, Murray had the monkey off his back. He won the Olympic gold and a Grand Slam.

Re: Tennis
Murray and Djokovic over Federer I think. Murray has his first slam and the hard courts are his favourite surface and so should go far. To win the whole thing, would give the edge to Djokovic because he has always performed in Australia and he is making it his tournament.

Re: Tennis
Upsets are rarer in the Aussie open because it's the start of the season so everyone should be fully prepared going into the tournament. By the US Open they are knackered so outside the top 5 or 6, you are more likely to see an upset

Del Potro out! Interesting match today between Federer and Tomic. I like Tomic, but he's playing against my favorite.
