Arsenal Malaysia tour 2012 summer

It's happening again! 2 of Arsenal spokesmen were down in KL today, did a press conference. A friend of mine is a committee member for Arsenal Malaysia supporters and he was there in the Q&A session. A few quotes :

‎"We have deliberately picked a date far away from the Euros and all the first teamers will be here for the tour."

Officially the Malaysia tour will be announce in tomorrow's press conference and on Arsenal website simultaneously.

"AW and RvP asked after the trip last season, can we come back to Malaysia? There's no surprise what tomorrow's presser is. Please keep the last week of July free. The players have known about this."

"We intent to recover the ground lost to United in terms of global commercial power that we conceded while focusing on the new stadium. We have a long term commitment to touring and a long term commitment to Asia. What you showed last summer, we have a duty to response."

Also someone else mentioned that RVP will be signing a new contract, but so far I never hear anyone else mentioning it.

No no. Barcelona, United, City and Malaysia will be involved in a friendly cup game.

LA Galaxy is coming too. So Arsenal vs Malaysia, LA Galaxy vs Malaysia (these two are separate friendlies).

EXCELLENT NEWS: Jack Wilshere WON'T be selected by Team GB for the Olympic Games & will instead be part of Arsenal's Asia tour.

Whats the name of the stadium where the 1st game was played last year, Sam? From tv, I loved the look of the pitch. Also, I thought most of the people were supporting Arsenal.haha

Bukit Jalil National Stadium. Immense man. It's huge. 100k could fit in there nicely. Yeah haha most are Arsenal fans. People here support foreign clubs more than their own country.
