Arsenal v West brom
The Hawthorns Sunday, 6 October KO 16.00
West Brom could be without strikers Victor Anichebe, Nicolas Anelka and Shane Long, meaning Saido Berahino could make his first league start.
Scott Sinclair has been ruled out until after the international break with a hamstring problem.
Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna faces a three-week lay-off after picking up a hamstring injury in Tuesday's Champions League victory over Napoli.
His absence means Carl Jenkinson is set to come into the team.
MATCH PREVIEW
Arsenal return to The Hawthorns less than a fortnight after their last visit in the Capital One Cup, with manager Arsene Wenger stressing the need to focus, keep things in perspective and build on the excellent start to the season.
The recent cup visit resulted in a 4-3 win on penalties for the Gunners (the match finished 1-1 after extra time), but it'll be a different line-up this time as Wenger's side go for an 11th straight win in all competitions.
It's a run that's all the more astonishing when you think back to the manner of the opening-day defeat at home to Aston Villa, and the crowd's reaction to it.
The atmosphere is rather different now, though, after Mesut Ozil's arrival and a string of impressive performances and results, including this week's dominant 2-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League.
But while much of the pre-match attention in the national media may focus on Arsenal ahead of the game, West Brom were actually the star turn in the Premier League last weekend with their superb 2-1 win over the champions Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It doubled Albion's win tally for the season, and coming on the back of a 3-0 home win over Sunderland was further evidence they are perhaps settling down after a rocky start that had seen just two points accrued from the opening four games.
Arsenal travel to the West Midlands having won their last eight away matches in the league, and their recent record at The Hawthorns is good, too, winning on three of their last four visits.
Albion have lost two out of three at home so far, but face this test in much better shape than they would have been just a couple of weeks ago.
for me i am still feeling the run will continue...
prediction? 3-1 Arsenal-

I might be a bit overconfident but I think we're due a thrashing. A 5-1 or 4-0

Personally, there is no way I would drop Flamini in a game away from home right now.
If West Brom's team news plays out like Mike has written it above, I think that is fantastic news for us, if there are without Shane Long in particular im a much happier person.
I think Gnabry deserves to play but I see no reason to put Wilshere back in today from the start. I'd go in midfield with;
GNABRY-ARTETA-FLAMINI-OZIL
---------------RAMSEY-----------
Obviously we know they wont stay in those positions it was for illustration only. Defence and attack pick themselves for me.

Think BFG is rested, Vermaelen in.. He needs to be played back in this team! He is our captain and I am certain he will be fired up for this!
Come on Arsenal, get back on top!

Wilshere in for Rosicky and Jenkinson in for Sagna. The rest is unchanged from the Napoli match, and no, we don't need to bring back Vermaelen when we finally look solid at the back without him.

Jack Wilshere is back in the Arsenal XI, replacing Tomas Rosicky. Carl Jenkinson also back in.
Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Arteta, Flamini, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Giroud

Re: Arsenal v West brom
1-3 is pretty confident. I'm airing on the side of caution though, a team that defeated the Champions last week I know we are in good form but to pinch this 0-1 or 1-2 would be great. A draw is not the worst in the world. Must not lose.

Ozil's sooo smooth when he's juking past people. Gonna be interesting to see how he and Santi play together. Santi is like a hyper bumble bee on too much coffee

must admit i like this ref...he allows a game to go on rather than play into the hands of teams gaining advantage up the field with fouls....

Missing a bit of bite , I think. Flamini+Arteta is too much? Maybe need Gnabry on to stretch it a little....
