Haha this certainly has to be season of exception cause they were talking 'mind the gap' bullshit with their 10 point lead. Look at them now, forever in our shadow!

This,"@gunnerblog Van der Vaart: "There is no chance of Arsenal finishing above Spurs. We're better." Wow. Big words in October. See you in May. ".
haha
Anyway, with all of that out of the way now and 3rd and CL officially locked up, we can now fully focus on strengthening our team so that we can make a dash for the title next season (hopefully)

My God, that was a nerve wrecking game to watch. Just glad it's all over now and we somehow managed to finish 3rd. Wenger hugging Pat Rice on the bench was incredible. Would have been the moment of the match for me but nope, that honour goes to Gibbs. What a block to deny West Brom right at the end. Just amazing.

Well done ,backing arsewards into 3rd because some other poor bastard's errors.
Nervy. Not a fun way to cheer on your club -"don''t f*ck it all up this time!".
My hope for next year , as has been for the past few years, is we finish out the year (and the matches) with authority.
Like last week vs Norwich it would've been great to score in the first minute and then ride out the 1-0 in a boring and predictable fashion. Here's hoping.

If we can get M'Vila and no one else and get to keep RvP (and not have all our full backs out at the same time), I think we can at least challenge for the title.

Think we have more problems than that, one player isnt going to make up a 20 point difference, even if that player was lionel messi

Still doesnt make up a 20 point difference especially as both teams will strengthen

Bit worrying that our back up left back has more goals this season than our back up striker.

I truly genuinely pity Fulop, but at least West Brom had little to lose. But 2 of those errors (1st and 3rd) you'll not see worse in quite a while. Shocking keeping. But I'm not complaining. I'll pick holes in our season later, for now just enjoy the relief!

Re: Happy St. Totteringham's day! / West Brom Post match
Today we celebrate! Fantastic to finish third after the season we have had. I will happily admit I didn't think we could do it and would have bitten your hand off for 4th back in August and February but we kept digging away. Today's finish was so, so good. Arsenal on the laptop hooked up to a small TV next to the main TV with Man City on it, what a last few minutes!
Going forward, we need some changes. Some big ones, too. Something has to give if we are to move forward properly because quite frankly, a lot of what we have seen this season has not been good enough, including a lot today. But that can be saved for tomorrow.

Re: Happy St. Totteringham's day! / West Brom Post match
I know this a day for celebration/laughing at spurs, but I agree that we're not anywhere close to title-winning quality at the moment, even with another strong addition to the squad. We had a great run towards the end but frankly we've put in some embarrassing performances this year.
Considering the circumstances (i.e. the state of utter fucking chaos) in which we began the season, we can be proud. But if the club is serious about winning the title, there's a lot that still needs to happen. Today, as with the past few weeks, we were nervy, lost most of the 50/50s and despite the poor offside decision we were lucky to end up with the points... considering two of the goals were absolute gifts and Santos' probably should have been stopped, would anybody have been surprised with a draw??? We would be having a very, very different conversation right now had that been the case- at times it seemed like we were actively trying to make this game a carbon copy of the Norwich match!!!
At times this season we looked very composed- with a much older/experienced group of players like song, arteta, rosicky, rvp, benayoun, mertesacker- and we knew how to take control of the game and keep things tight when we were ahead... but it's clear that after a few injuries we lacked that. And lord knows what would have happened if we had lost RvP to any type of injury, not even a long term one. I know we've gone a little bit of a way to fixing this by bringing in Podolski but he'll still be adjusting next year.
Alright I'll stop bitching... I think my blood pressure is still through the roof after watching us play like a wrecked bag of nerves for 90 minutes!
Now let's all look forward to relentless transfer stories of RvP to city... I can't wait...

That's true. We still have quite a long way to go if we want to be a title-winning side.
It'll be funny if Chelsea beat Bayern and Spurs get knocked out of the CL for next season
