Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
We were so awful! So predictable, lethargic, slow buld up play... I am not sure though that Wenger leaving right now would be a good thing.
I still believe that this team will finish top 4 though. If we were united today, we would have got a penalty and everyone would have praised us saying it's stuff of champions to win while playing bad.

This is unacceptable.
I am not sad or surprised right now. Just angry.
Never ever thought I would say this but, Wenger, please step down gracefully.

I am Wenger's biggest admirer and still think the stadium should be named after him, but it's time for him to go.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
There are no other managers who can work as successfully as Wenger with Arsenal's financial constraints. I'll reserve judgement on this team, and on Wenger, until the stadium is paid off, the new sponsorship and kit deals kick in, and these players have had a fair amount of time to work together.
Until then, the club is in survival mode.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
I don't want to call this the usual 'we lost so Wenger out situation'..but.....
The team is slowly pulling itself apart....and there is no better time to go out and grab arguably one of the best managers around in pep....make him our target...the situation has presented itself to us...the team is failing...has been for some time...Wenger has a few good games then barren patches....still no plan b under his belt....go out grab pep and sort this mess out....pep turned down Chelsea because of no job security..fergie is still at united...we need a refresher and he could be just it.....
Sorry Wenger......you gave us some magical times...but enough is enough....
Time to move over in pep we have someone with same attributes as Wenger just a whole lot younger and motivated......

I've seen enough already, personally. What we saw today, against Norwich, Villa, United and in so many other matches had nothing to do with financial constraints. Just shit performances.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
I'm not like the morons on twitter who brainlessly want Wenger out. The new manager might come and still do no better than 4th, BUT if I see a team which is not good enough to win the league, motivated week in, week out, knows how to defend, knows how to attack, has a plan B, doesn't look like a bunch of harmless sheep, it's good enough for me. This current team does none of that. I am with Michael about getting Guardiola (who i once read wants the job at Arsenal), if not, then Klopp is one of the obvious people I want.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
I'm not even bothered, frankly.
The sad thing is that any criticism you level at our showing today could have been said about many of our particular performances at many points over the last 4-5 years.
This is the team we are.

I completely agree.....with arguably one of the best teams around financial problems have nothing to do with tattics, performing, stale matches, any of it....not with this caliber of team we have...
As I said before we still have no plan b,one of the main factors for underachieving....
It's ok in Wenger preparing us for the future investing in the youth....
The same must be done about him.....

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
You keep talking as if Guardiola's dream is to manage Arsenal. A team with shit owners, shit board, no money, debts, not challenging for titles... I am 99% sure he would reject us.

Re: Arsenal vs Swansea
I am with Dan and Michael Foster too. If we can get Guardiola, move Wenger upstairs. Guardiola as manager does not guarantee a top 4 finish, but it will give him enough time to settle in and launch a serious title challenge next season.
If we cannot get Guardiola, let Wenger continue to the end of the season. Have a feeling we will qualify in the top 4.
- 5 point off 3rd.
- Will definitely finish above West Brom, Swansea, West Ham and Stoke.
- Chelsea, Sp*rs and Everton are far from perfect as well. The managers in place at Chelsea and Sp*rs pretty much ensure they won't be very consistent either whereas Everton are likely to run out of steam as the season progresses and their squad gets stretched.
- Any manager other than Guardiola, available right now cannot guarantee a top 4 finish, so might as well let Wenger carry on.
- Plenty of managers we can bring in end of the season - as opposed to mid-season - who can take the club in the right direction.
