It's amazing. Life In The Undergrowth, Planet Earth, The Blue Planet are pretty good too.

And my favorite TV shows are always The Wire, The Sopranos, Band Of Brothers, Boardwalk Empire, Game Of Thrones.

Now deciding which one should I start first : Breaking Bad or Sons Of Anarchy.

Could very well be, Hugh Lauri has said that he will concentrate only on movies after this season. For all its worth I hope they kill House if they're going to end the show.

Sam - Both of those are awesome. Breaking Bad is more clever and realistic, better acting etc Sons of Anarchy is cooler/badass. I'm currently taking the advice of many people and starting Dexter.

I liked the first few series of Dexter. The last couple have been pretty slow.

I heard good things about Dexter too but I'm a sucker for mafia/serious crimes/war/gangster shows. What is Dexter about?

Basically Dexter is a serial killer, but with rules/morals. He only kills people who 'deserve it'

I've just started the second series of Dexter. It's not in the league of some other shows on now like Boardwalk Empire for example but it's a good watch. Dark humour but it mixes gore and being funny well.

Yeah like Chris said he is a serial killer with morals, but also works for cops as a blood analyst. The guy who plays Dexter makes the show, plays it really well.

Michael C Hall is great, after all the title character is what makes the show. I thought the first 3 series were right up there. After that it seems like they are running out of ideas.

Breaking Bad is superb, highly recommended and something a little different

Yeah he definately makes the show. I also like the Japanese forensic guy, some great one liners by him, and not many people on television say 'motherfucker' as well as Sergeant Doakes.

I am hugely into Breaking Bad. Got into it over around Christmas and am already three series into it. It is a lot more believable than most shows and the main guy again is brilliant. Can't believe he was Hal in Malcom in the Middle, his acting in Breaing Bad is top notch.

Heard of a new show today called 'Hell on Wheels' which is meant to be similar to Deadwood. May be worth a watch.

Malcolm in the Middle was another cracking show! I also think the guy who plays Jessie is great too. The way Walt and Jessie play off each other is golden. Not to spoil anything, but the latest series ending is dynamite!

Yeah I like how, in my opinion, each series is better than the one beforehand. It just gets better. Really looking forward to starting season 4 on the weekend.

Guy who plays Jesse is good. Him and Walt's character are so different but are really good opposite each other onscreen.

The first season (or "series") of Dexter was great. Some of the best TV I've ever seen in my entire life. Season 2 was ok, 3 was meh, 4 was really good, 5 was less than meh. Haven't seen season 6 yet, but I've heard that it's up there with season 4.

What's really great about TV now, with Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Damages, Nip/Tuck, all of those, is that the lead characters are not very likable, but they still find a way to make you root for them.
