Scholes comes out of retirement

We have had a lot of negative feedback for Henry coming to us (Inc the media). Now Scholes has come out of retirement to help United...let's see what the reaction is to that. They will all say its not a bad thing

His first meaningful contribution was to give the ball away which lead to City's 2nd

Getting Scholes out of retirement won't be much of a risk as until recently he was playing in the Prem, it would be like bringing him to date after a lengthy off season. Henry on the other hand hasn't been playing that level of football, hence the number of skeptics.

Scholes had been on a sharp decline the last 2 seasons. I actually think it is more of a risk than us signing Henry because no one knows what to expect of Henry, but we know what to expect off Scholes. Most Utd fans thought it was a case of 'thank you but goodbye' when he left 8 months ago, can things really have changed that much?

Do you for one moment believe that the same media who laughed at the horrible Scholes tackles is going to look at his return critically ?? I don't think they want to highlight how desperate United are these days that they need a player to come out of retirement yet berate Arsenal

How was Scholes allowed to play? It was said we had to sign Henry before a certain deadline for him to be eligible for the Monday game. And yet apparently nobody at United knew he would be available - Rooney said they didn't even know until they were in the locker room. The media got wind of NOTHING.

How were they able to keep it so quiet? No leaks from the club, from the FA? And yet all the paperwork was done in time?

Can someone please explain this to me? How is he eligible?

It was leaked in the papers yesterday. Presumably that's when it was done, but they just didn't tell the players

Wouldn't that be after the deadline, or did we just have an earlier one?

Henry needed international clearance, as far as I'm aware, Scholes only needed FA clearance

I don't think Scholes is there to make any big impact, he is just there to make up the numbers. Utd are running pretty low on midfielders at the moment.
