On a serious note, massive, massive doubts about this game. I was far more confident last week, thought we may have actually kicked the 'choking' mentality of recent seasons. Was really hoping we'd turned a corner with all the experience we'd bought, the come from behind victories etc.

We were close to kicking it last week, hopefully we can this week.

This is a must win

So... Szczesny is a doubt for this game.

Chris Brunt is out for West Brom and Odemwinghie and Jerome Thomas are 'doubts'.

Clint Dempsey is said to be out of the Tottenham game. A huge blow for them and for us.

I'm already so nervous for this bastard game.

Why is Dempsey out? Bad lasagne?

And Chesney? What's wrong with him? Does that mean Fabianski steps in, or a final farewell to Almunia?

Szcz's supposedly got back problems. And Almunia is not registered.

Not sure what's wrong with Dempsey, but team news out of Fulham on Twitter was that he, Ruiz and Sidwell will be out.

As for Szczesny, read last night it was his back. John Cross (I think) it was said he thinks it might be shoulder. Almunia has been nowhere near the squad and it will be Fabianski who would have to step in. Fabianski.

I really see this game, and our season, going horribly wrong. I don't care if WBA are safe or what not, they were safe last week at Bolton and scored twice late on to equalise. It's their last home game, their last game with Hodgson, they have no pressure and we are shit at defending.

I would have been nervous with Szczesny in goal, let alone Fabianski.

And why the fuck does Dempsey has to be out for this one game in the whole fucking season?!

Would life in the Europa League hurt us more than it would built us though? Money aside. How bad would it be?

Catastrophic! Not just the fact that we have to play on Thursdays (with so little depth in the squad, that will be a challenge), but everybody knows Europe League is miles away from CL. For big clubs Europe League is a punish for not qualifying to the CL.

'Money aside'

Well, you can't just put money aside, can you?

Team news :

Wenger is hopeful that Theo Walcott will pass a fitness test on his hamstring and return to the squad after three weeks out. Despite suggestions to the contrary, Wojciech Szczesny is fine. Bacary Sagna had surgery on his broken leg this week so Francis Coquelin will deputise at right back.

Peter Odemwingie is fit for the baggies but Thomas and Brunt will miss out.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Santos, Rosicky, Song, Coquelin, Benayoun, Gervinho, Van Persie.

Subs: Fabianski, Djourou, Gibbs, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Ramsey, Chamakh.

Happy with Coq in the midfield but can't say I'm too confident about Santos and Jenkinson.
