Roy Hodgson - England Manager

FA appoint Hodgson on a four year contract. Good news.

A new scapegoat for England.

I think he is a good choice.

Much more qualified for the position than 'Arry.

Being non-English, I don't know what to make of this. Redknapp clearly wasn't the right choice, but was Hodgson the best choice available? Yes, he does have a CV that he can hold with pride, but realistically speaking, majority of his success has been helping moderate clubs punch beyond their weight.

But then again, if the players don't perform, you could have a cucumber in place of a manager and it won't make a difference.

I hope he gets pissed and piledrives Terry during one of the training sessions.

Good choice for me. Has a lot of experience not only at International level but also managing clubs in other countries.

My only worry is that he seems to like 4-4-2, whch can be a risk these days unless done precisely correct and with the right players.
