The worst XI and manager in the league.
Who according to you is the worst manager and the worst XI in the league? Think it will help give us a proper perspective as to where our players and manager stand in a head to head comparison(At least on paper). Make sure the players you mention are a regular feature in the starting 11.
Re: The worst XI and manager in the league.
Manager this year I would say King Kenny. His handling of the Suarez incident, terrible player purchases, and general shit-ness of Liverpool win him the prize for me.
I'll have to think a bit about the XI, but I'd certainly have Carroll and Chamakh up top.

Re: The worst XI and manager in the league.
Chamakh doesn't start regularly (because of his shitness of course).
Worst manager King Kenny
Torres and Carroll have to be in that worst XI

Re: The worst XI and manager in the league.
Kenny Dalglish's performance has been a bit up and down this season. He's team's massively under performing in the league yet at the same time he's also won the Carling Cup and may still win the FA Cup. I think we need to wait till the end of FA Cup to properly judge Kenny Dalglish.
Another candidate for the worst manager would be Terry Connor(Wolves). They've sunk like a rock ever since McCarthy's departure.
Worst XI - Most of the Wolves, Torres, Joey Barton any others?

Re: The worst XI and manager in the league.
Dalglish for sure. The amount of money he spent on mediocre signings, paying way over the mark for them simply because they were British, was silly. He spent over 100m and look where he is in the league. If he wasn't a Liverpool legend he'd have been sacked by now.
Plus I hate how defensive he gets in interviews whenever anyone questions him or his team. There is defending your team and then there is being a complete knob. He is the latter.

Squillaci on the bench, because even as sub for the worst XI in the league, his appearance warming up on the sidelines (doing that weird arm swinging thing he does - muppet) would have the fans sighing.
I genuinely believe he is a worse player than Cygan or Stepanovs.

It HAS to be Dalglish for how much $$ he spent and how poor they've been. He's such a silly old fart who sounds like an absolute ass when he talks to media its hard to take him or Liverpool seriously.
Formation: 4-4-2
GK - Patrick Kenny (QPR) / Paul Robinson (Blackburn)
LB - Paul Robinson (Bolton)
CB - Gary Caldwell (Wigan)
CB - Christophe Berra (Wolverhampton)
RB - Gretar Steinsson (Bolton)
LM - Stuart Downing (Liverpool)
CM - ????
CM - Shaun Derry (QPR)
RM - Victor Moses (Wigan)
ST - Andy Carroll (Liverpool)
ST - Fernando Torres (Chelsea)
Keeper: Both have been woefully poor - shot stopping, command of area, ball distribution - its amazing these guys are still playing in the EPL. I couldn't decide who has been worse.
Defense: It would be funny in a sad way to watch the Niagara Falls of goals flow through this defense. Headless chickens could defend better than these clowns.
Midfield: Victor & Stuart, for all their efforts, produce next to nothing from the wings. There may be worse out there but having watched them play throughout the season, their only consistencies are poor end product and dissappointment.
Derry is just shit for QPR and I can't decide on a more creative-type midfielder who has been really poor (Joey Barton? He's been mentioned).
Strikers: Self-explanatory.

Karl Henry also a major contender.

Adel Taarabt. Seems to think a few stepovers compensates for workload and misplacing simple passes.

Cygan was just prone to an odd but a massive howler. Squillaci's entire gameplay is a howler.John Foxall wrote:Squillaci on the bench, because even as sub for the worst XI in the league, his appearance warming up on the sidelines (doing that weird arm swinging thing he does - muppet) would have the fans sighing.

also, Cygan scored a brace against Fulham once, if I remember correctly. That too makes him better than Squirrellaci. I think my missus is a better defender than him.Subrat007 wrote:Cygan was just prone to an odd but a massive howler. I disagree. Every Cygan pass was to the opposition!
