The way I see it...teams win trophies...it happens....

But to see spurs finish 4th and a champions league place shredded in 90 minutes....

Priceless...

And only if spurs finish 4th...
If it's Newcastle....good on them....spurs on a Thursday night...

All that said...we have to win our final game.

That probably makes 5 million of us....

No way would you have bet on a man city win and spurs draw...

Just awaiting on Swansea to take a point off man u...weekend complete!! Lol
i actually expected city to win this, so no real surprises there. spurs dropping points came rather unexpectedly though. as i said, ridiculously lucky. or, everyone fighting for third is just as bad as we are when the pressure is piling up.

The pressure for third agreed seams to be hurting everybody involved...

I would never in a million years expected spurs to cock up again today..

Everybody in a competition has a chance to win......

But to not be in it and have it taken in such cruel fashion....bring it on....
Chelsea did a lot of hard work to get to that final so fair play to them....

spurs played with 10 men for almost half of the game.
still they had plenty of chances to bury it.
we were indeed really lucky

I agree with Chan. I'd rather see Spurs in the CL than Chelsea win the CL. I don't want Chelsea, a classless team with classless supporters to have something to brag about over us.

The way I see is it they are both classless....

But never begrudge a man for gaining something through hard work...

Chelsea have earned the right to be there..good luck to them...

I stood in a chelsea fan owned pub surrounded by arsenal fans with the owner and his chelsea friends on the night we got to the final of the champions league...

We all called for arsenal to win it....
You will never see a spurs fan doing that....ever...for that they have my good luck and here is to seeing spurs get fucked over....again...

Chelsea win the Champions League and they will make history by becoming the first London club to win it. Spurs have already qualified for the Champions League before, and whilst it will be nice to see them fuck it up after the season they've had, Chelsea winning it seems like a bigger travesty to me. To each his own though.

i just read somewhere that in case chelsea wins the champions league, team finishing 3rd will enter play off stage for champions league and not the group stage.
is this true??

Was wondering about this myself, and I would think its true because remember, England are allocated 3 automatic group stage slots and one play off slot. If Chelsea wins they go straight to the group stage leaving only a play off slot free for 3rd place since 1st and 2nd get the other two auto slots. Also considering that if all four English teams went straight to the group, would that not make the play offs uneven then? Thats just what I think, UEFA haven't cleared this situation before as far as I know.

When pool won in '05, they finished out of the top four and they were in a CL playoff the following season, if my memory is correct. Unless they changed things, Chelsea will have a playoff if they win.

I think playoff rule applies for whoever finishes 4th and the same goes for chelsea if they win it...still a playoff as effectively they take 4th place..

That said if all rules are as they were...

Yeah I got that now, someone posted in another thread that the CL winner would go into the play off and not straight to the group stage as I had initially thought.
