This probably won't have much of an effect on the Arsenal (as we don't spend anything anyways), but thought some people might be interested in this:

Gist of the articles: Stan Kroenke is bidding to purchase the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball, which would also prompt his NFL team (the St. Louis Rams) to be moved to LA. This would facilitate a pretty huge investment on the part of our owner (Minimum bidding of $1.5 billion for the Dodgers).

I doubt this will have any impact on Arsenal as Kroenke already owns lots of sports establishments.

Isn't Stan looking to play a Rams 'home' game in Wembley for the next 3 years?
Wouldn't be surprised if he pushes to make London the permanent home of the franchise some day. Which would make sense him having such an interest in Arsenal. He's only been at the Grove once in the last 9 months but I'm sure he might make a few more trips over to London a year if two of his teams are playing under the same roof...

Hotdogs were just the beginning.

There. I said it. That's my theory anyhow.
As batshit mental as it may seem now, who knows what may happen in the next 5 or 10 years.

Not if he buys the Dodgers. Can't own both an MLB team and NFL team in competing markets, hence the move to LA

Does the same not apply to his NBA team in Denver?
The NBA is surely seen as big a market as the NFL or MLB?

From the first article...

"NFL rules prohibit an owner from having controlling interest in a major sports team outside of the football team’s market. "

Good point about his Denver teams. With a bit of searching I found this:

Looks like his son technically owns both the Nuggets and Avalanche.

You know this is a very good point....why has not Stan nor the Russian dug that loose change out their pockets and spent a few ££ on arsenal...they have both been fighting for the club amd yet not one penny in for transfers....not saying I want them to splash the crazy cash...but how about a 'hi fans to say hello and show a good bit of interest in the club I brought xxxxxxx'

Makes ya wonder...

Because they've bought into the club to make money not throw it away presumably. Because, y'know, they aren't mental.

Why is he bidding so much (almost double) for the Dodgers?
The value from Forbes is around $800m.
The last owner sold off most of the assets and put up tkt prices, it seems to reduce debt.

I know F all about the NBL - but the numbers don't seem to add up ESP as he is risking half his fortune in this venture at $1.5 bn

I think there is a new stadium or something but recouping that kind of investment worries me that the AFC could pic up the slack ....

AFC cannot pick up the slack as long as we are not majority owned (and then even if). There are accounting laws against that sort of thing. It's exactly why it's important we are self-sustainable.

Between the two of them they must be looking at the team thinking...'well we could do with him or him'
And between them what's a 30m pot boost...
