Re: Cricket
My mistake Chris, i thought England played tests in India.
Yes, i do know that when it comes to Test cricket England are the best.
Still I have a feeling Misbah defensive tactics will result in couple draws and a win for Pakistan

I think tests will be played on dead pitches, that start to turn on day 1.

Re: Cricket
Nah! no riots man. I remember a few years ago when the Indian team got humiliated against WI(I think) people threw stone's on Kaif's house and ransacked Dhoni's house(then under construction). The public doesn't mind dropping a player as long as we don't get humiliated... again.fkamil wrote:Sami Rockfeller wrote:
It's probably for the best. He would probably have been dropped if not suspended.
Sami - no way would Dhoni have been dropped. He is the captain, yeah he is under performing with the bat but he is the leader on that squad. The day Dhoni is dropped we will have riots in India haha.
Pakistan vs England will be a bore fest. The Abu Dhabi pitch does not offer anything, might as well play on cement pitches than that.
England to nick it in the end, they have the resilience needed to win.
Re: Cricket
could go either way. it takes just one batting collapse for the series to be over. bat first, score 600 in 2.5 days, other team scores 600, match drawn

Re: Cricket
Shocking start from England, some really bad shots from the top order. 42/3

They may very well have thrown away the series in the first session

We did choose to bat first right? I thought these collapses were a thing of the past

Re: Cricket
Well you would bat first wouldn't you? The pitch hasn't even deteriorated yet for when the real spin kicks in! Embarrassing collapse, the top order gave it away and now Ajmal is going to lay a hurt on the middle and lower order.

"This is remarkable. England are being spun away on a flat, first-day pitch with no turn. Superb spin bowling. "

Re: Cricket
yeah i know, but when you are 44/5 in 21 over, you look like morons. When you get your two most obdurate batsmen getting out in that manner, it sets the tone for the rest of the team. Really though we wouldn't see this garbage again from an England Cricket Team for a while

Re: Cricket
This tour had 'banana skin' written all over it and you can see why. Not that I ever thought it would be 46-5 (and I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out less than 100 all out) but, yeah.
Most of the batsmen didn't really get a good bat in the warm up, getting out cheaply. Middle order, anyway.
And Morgan nearly gone.

Re: Cricket
Stupid keeper missed a stumping. England would have been 6 down.
I am surprised by this collapse cuz it is a really dry pitch. I think the pitch starts to crack day 3 or 4

Wow, Saeed Ajmal is really coming to the party.
The next Saqlain? He's got all the variations.

Re: Cricket
England doing their best impression of India. Except instead of pace bowling, England crumbling under spin. Well, a spinner, as the ball isn't yet turning.
Swann may as well come out and slog.

Next session critical, should Pakistan lost any more wickets, we'll be done and dusted by the end of the day.

Re: Cricket
The batting in this test by England has been nothing short of a disgrace. An innings defeat in 3 days coming up pretty soon.

Re: Cricket
England's batting has been so Indian-esque
How Ajmal took 10 wickets on that surface is beyond me.

Re: Cricket
English Media acting like babies. They brought up Ajmal's action.
"It's disappointing as fans rightly feel it's a case of sour grapes. Ajmal has ICC certification & license to bowl. Why point weapons at him".
The truth is that the ball did not spin much at all. It's just been ordinary batting from England top tier.

Ponting and clarke both bring up centuries. India's woeful bowling continues. Yadav is getting carted today.
