Sunderland 22/02/14

Post by Jenks1981 on Fri Feb 21, 2014 9:40 pm

Notes from the press conference I saw earlier;

Szczesny is unlikely to be punished for his 'wanker' sign, but will be internally.

Kieran Gibbs is out for tomorrow's match vs Sunderland.

Mesut Özil will continue to offer to take penalties.

Dennis Bergkamp's statue will be unveiled today.

Arsene Wenger has tipped Yaya Sanogo to play an important role for the rest of the season.

Mikel Arteta is back and available tomorrow.

I would give sanogo another run against Sunderland.....I would actually like to see us have two forwards working upfront... Drop ozil in behind them and have a bank of three of Caz on the left arteta and ox middle and right respectively....

Simply cannot see Sunderland giving us any trouble and this could be a perfect game to make up the goals with had slipped with in the past few weeks...

The main reason for that setup would be giving ozil the shot of playing his favourite position. ..

for me caz and ox on the wings, ozil in the middle, seriously arsene always plays his players out of their fav position but this would be one where ozil should be playing he middle in view of all the criticism he has been getting. though, i wouldn't mind if he was rested. and cazrola played in the middle with podolski in the wings.
sonogo to play upfront .. liking this this guy ... he is quite inexperienced and need more confidence in front of goals but arsene isn't wrong in picking him

i say 3 points to us

i really wish we had a speedy striker, one that made runs and ozil's potential could be fully utilized. he doesn't have the work rate of ramsey .. he never did but you know what he is capable of. ppl do need to stop asking the arabian race horse to be the mule. anyway enough of my ramblings i really hope ozil won't turn into another arshavin.
we have a good squad its not the best in the world but it can challenge any team and win.

Only concern is injuries to very big players. Hope they're all fine.

No news on any on any fresh injuries....I think the ozil dead leg is more of a late decision not to play him and give him a breather.... Could really do with Rambo back...
