Re: Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal
Are we playing well? We're just about sticking in there but whenever we lose the ball (which is often) we look quite vulnerable. We've had no meaningful possession in their half.

I agree that they are very dangerous in transition.
But we are recovering the ball well. Quite consistently we are winning the ball back, circulating.
The ball isn't quite sticky enough in the final 3rd, with Giroud struggling to hold it up.
A great base for the 2nd half though.

They've come out well 2nd half.
They are the 2nd best team in the world.

Giroud not having the best game.
Will be forgotten if he scores though.

Arsenal last year would have lost that game badly! I love the spirit of this team.. A bit lucky though, with the clear penalty at the last minute, but fuck that:)
What a week! Bring ManU on!!

What clear pen?
Important win and well battled out. Not sure Dortmund are the second best team in the world. Being the losing finalists doesn't mean that at all.

Look it wasn't a clear penalty, you see them given 1 in 5 maybe but you could say it was experienced defending from Per. Risky, but experienced.
Dortmund are my second favourites in Europe, I love the way they play, Klopp is a fantastic manager and in the end as much as I love Arsenal it seemed pretty harsh to take all 3 points.
Mind you they did the same 2 weeks ago. Plus last season and seasons before the team would've caved in but tonight they hung in there, Ramsey again getting into the right spaces.
If anything I thought Giroud did well, had little service, was feeding on scraps and didn't have much to work with once he got the ball (Santi and Ozil weren't close enough to him to be effective) but then again Klopp is a great coach and amongst setting up his teams to attack he knows how to get his defenders focus on the key opposition forward and nullify his game. To be honest they nearly succeeded tonight. Still another couple of testy games, close group.
And Old Trafford of course, can't wait for that!

Re: Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal
Well Dortmund only had one outstanding chance and Mkhitaryan messed it up. Other than that no regrets! We just about withstood their pressure then delivered the "sucker punch", to quote the much-loved commentator cliché.
I was really annoyed that we couldn't even get a draw from the reserve fixture so thank good we got this win. Dortmund were not that good they just had a much higher intensity style which put us under more pressure than we're used to in the league. I think Reus and Lewandoski are excellent but apart from that there aren't really any top class players for us to fear in that side.

Well.......what a win....fucking ugly at times but bang on the buck!!
Not doing the whole Ramsey did well just for the goal but the team as a whole look up for a long season now...
Think a bit of pay back is due for man u......

We played really well to contain them. Then bang!
Feels like we pick pocketed them then flew out of the country with 3 points!

Re: Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal
We did well to give them nothing away. Thought apart from the Mkhitaryan chance, they didn't have a proper chance on goal, even if the tally was 10-0 at some time in the game. 3 consecutive clean sheets and 3 wins. I think this was the plan for yesterday, give them nothing away, and we know we're good enough to score at some point. Ugly win, I got tired watching that second half, but who cares, exactly the type of result you would want before heading to Old Trafford. That said, after all the hard work, I really hope the players have enough energy to play properly against United.
