Happy new year lads! We play Cardiff at home tomorrow with too many injuries. I said after the Newcastle game that Giroud should be rested, now he is injured, so he must be rested. Bendtner can/should/must be able good enough to start a home game against Cardiff. BUT the major issue is that we are without Ozil, Ramsey, Gibbs? Vermaelen? Monreal? Arteta? Rosicky? Walcott? Wilshere? as well. So it's not like we will only have one change. If all our left backs plus Vermaelen and Arteta are out who plays at left back? Flamster? Who plays DM then? We should get more news regarding the fitness of those having question marks next to their names anyway. My lineup, assuming that those injuries are nothing serious, would be:
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Mertesacker Monreal
Cazorla Flamini Rosicky
Theo Bendtner Trollface

Dare I say Mertesacker was our best player in 2013?

Probably not a penalty.

A lot depends on Walcott and Podolski. Big opportunity for them but both are so frustrating. Between Walcott and Wilshere we almost always seem to take the wrong option.

Another problem is that so much comes down the right side to Sagna yet he never threatens to take on his man and by the time the cross comes in, there's no threat.

We're lucky that Cardiff aren't the most threatening side but we're still perfectly capable of letting them stroll through us.

Last time spurs won the league,Wilshere's grandpa was still at school
Bendtner scored and had the decency to injure himself in the process so that Wenger will be forced to buy a striker in January.

What a man.

While we are still going on about Bendtner, that's what, his 3rd goal at the Emirates that has come at a crucial time (Spurs, Wolves and Cardiff)... After all 3 the crowd really made noise:D Really nice to see.
Credit where it's due, he's helped the team when he's been called upon but I don't doubt for a second that his only motivation is to up his stock.
