First I was happy, as it would mean he will miss the game against us, but now I'm thinking more of it as a fake injury in order for him to rest...hmmm.

Glen Johnson is shit, I hope he does play against us

Glen Johnson is worse than Assou Ekotto, it should be considered a good omen if he plays.

Maybe he is shit defensively, but as an attacking force he can be a handful. Plus if he is injured than that would mean Kelly will play.. Who would you prefer to play against us ? I know I want Kelly..

Is it true that Rangers even had to sell their 100year old shares in Arsenal and sold it to Usmanov??

Our favorite referee, Massimo Busacca (the wanker who sent off RVP at the Nou Camp), has been appointed FIFA's Head of Referees.

PSG's Javier Pastore wins L'Equipe's poll for most overrated player in Ligue 1 ahead of Lyon's Yoann Gourcuff.

More than deserved award for both. I would still put Gourcuff ahead as Pastore did score some crucial goals. My stomach turns every time we get linked with Gourcuff. He's like dead meat on pitch. Bags of ability in terms of football technique but otherwise useless.

FIFA bans and fines ex-Indonesia boss

Former Indonesia caretaker coach Aji Santoso has been banned for four games for suggestions of bribery to match officials in a humiliating 10-0 World Cup qualifying defeat by Bahrain in February, local media reported on Wednesday.

Santoso was sent to the stands by Lebanese referee Andre El Haddad after the fourth official indicated that the coach had asked if there was "money involved" in the game in Manama.

"I accept the punishment and I regret my behaviour," Santoso told the Jakarta Globe. "I was just saying to the fourth official 'Is there money involved in this match?'"

The 42-year-old, now in charge of the under-23 side, added: "I won't mind if the PSSI [Indonesia's FA] decides not to appeal it."

Unsurprisingly, given that Indonesian football is already treading on eggshells with FIFA over the chaotic state of its domestic game, the PSSI quickly accepted the punishment.

FIFA has also ordered Santoso to pay a fine of 6,000 Swiss francs ($6,600) on top of his touchline ban.

Indonesia had their goalkeeper sent off after two minutes while Bahrain were awarded four penalty kicks in a match which prompted FIFA to launch an investigation.

Bahrain had needed to win the Group E game by a nine-goal margin to have any hope of advancing to the final round of Asian 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Qatar's 2-2 in Iran dashed those hopes.

Indonesia, already eliminated, fielded a vastly inexperienced side after being blocked from selecting their regular squad by the PSSI because many play in the rebel Indonesian Super League.

The country is still flirting with a FIFA ban for failing to reconcile the country's two leagues, having already wriggled out of an earlier deadline last month.

The embattled PSSI, already facing threats from Indonesia's government vowing to take control, has until June 15 to get its house in order of suffer FIFA sanctions.

Raul leaves Schalke, press conference to be held in 30 mins. Most likely move: Qatar - a decision of financial over sporting opportunity.

Re: Football News (Transfers and others)

In November, former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue was the victim of a number of objects being thrown from the crowd. With the Ivorian hit by a water bottle and a host of other projectiles including lighters.

On Monday night, Galatasaray travelled to play Besiktas in another big match as part of the Championship play-offs in the Super Lig. Eboue was once again the target of the Besiktas fans and again received abuse and projectiles when taking a throw on the touchline.

This time however, it got a little more worrying, as a Besiktas fan ran on to the pitch to get close to Eboue and his Galatasaray team mates were forced to stop the invader.

It has been difficult to pinpoint exactly why Besiktas fans are so angry with Eboue, with suggestions that the former Arsenal full back is a “drama queen,” took too long with his throw-ins and even more sinister claims of racism.

Also, Ched Evans (ex City striker, now Sheffield United) has been sentenced to 5 years jail for rape.

Kyle Bartley used to play football with him.

LINK

Also, Bartley said this on Twitter after learning about the Evans case : "Some very very stupid girls out there. Lost a good friend, and a great person. #devastated"

What a fucking moron.

Kudos to Kyle for standing by his friend no matter what! Respect!

That said, obnoxious crime and more than deserved sentence for Evans. In fact, 5 years is slap on the wrist.
